In the first arc of Tokyo Revengers, Takemichi Hanagaki, a 26-year-old temp worker, discovers that his ex-girlfriend Hinata and her younger brother Naoto were killed by the Tokyo Manji Gang. He has a strange experience where he time-travels 12 years back to 2005. While in the past, he meets Naoto and learns the date of Hinata's death. Whenever he shakes hands with Naoto, he returns to the present, where Naoto has become a detective due to the time paradox.
Takemichi is determined to save Hinata. During this time, Takemichi's friends are involved in dangerous fights with the gang.
