Frank Fritz is an American reality star. He is best known for starring in the television series American Pickers between 2010 and 2020. He starred for 21 seasons of the series along with Mike Wolf, and Danielle Colby. He published two books titled "American Pickers Guide to Picking" and "How to Pick Vintage Motorcycles.” He owns an antique shop in Illinois named Frank Fritz Finds. He was born in Davenport, Iowa, United States, on October 11, 1965, as per IMDb. He is currently 57 years old.

The show American Pickers premiered on January 18, 2010, starring Frank Fritz, Mike Wolfe, and Danielle Colby. Frank Fritz toured all over the United States collecting antiques. He appeared in the first 21 seasons of the series since 2010. But he was not seen in the eighth episode of the twenty-first season. After that episode, the season continued without him. However, Frank revealed that he was eager to return to the show in an interview with The Sun in July 2021. It is not official that Frank is back on the show. The court documents has stated that he unable to care for his own safety, as per The U.S. Sun. So, it can't be possible for him to be back on the show. But he was featured in the recent videos posted on the official Facebook page of the show. He was seen in a video clip titled ‘Real Deal 1933 Ford Coupe’ posted on February 12, 2023.
What Happened To Frank Fritz?
The reality star Frank Fritz has many health problems. He struggled with alcohol addiction for years and he revealed in an interview with The Sun that he went to a 77 days treatment for this issue at The Abbey Center in Bettendorf, Iowa. He also said that did not like to drink anymore. He also battled Crohn’s Disease, a chronic inflammatory bowel condition for 36 years. He explained about this issue in an interview with The Sun, “There’s no cure, it’s like a dragon. Every day is a crap shoot. One day I could have a double chimichanga with hot sauce pouring out of it and have no problem. Another day I could have a piece of toast with some scrambled eggs and have a flare-up.” He started to take a healthy diet and lost nearly 65 pounds.
Frank also had a back surgery in 2020, in which he had 185 stitches and two rods in his spine. In order to recover from this surgery, he left the series American Pickers. He revealed that he started to take care of his health since then.
Frank suffered a stroke in July 2022. He was found on the floor of his home in Iowa by a friend and was rushed to the hospital. In August 2022, his father Bill revealed that Frank was in a stable condition. His long-time friend was appointed as his guardian by the court. The court papers revealed that he lost the decision-making capacity and he was unable to take care of his own safety and necessities because of this stroke, as per The U.S. Sun. Mike Wolfe wrote on his Instagram page about Frank's condition and requested all to pray for him.
Why Did Frank Fritz Leave American Pickers?
Frank appeared on the show American Pickers in March 2020 and he took time off from the show to recover from the back surgery. However, Mike revealed in July 2021 that Frank was fired from the show. Frank stated in an interview with The U.S. Sun that Mike didn’t reach out to him, after he was fired. He said, I haven’t talked to Mike in two years. He knew my back was messed up, but he didn’t call me up and ask how I was doing. That’s just how it is."
