Is Granblue Fantasy Relink a Gacha?

No, Granblue Fantasy: Relink is not a gacha game. In this version, you don't need to rely on a random draw system to unlock characters. Instead, you can obtain all characters by progressing through the in-game story and completing quests. This is different from the original game, which did involve gacha mechanics.

Despite having a substantial character roster at launch, there's no worry about having to use microtransactions to access specific fighters. While additional characters might be introduced through future downloadable content (DLC) expansions, especially considering the vast character pool in the original Granblue Fantasy, it's highly unlikely for a gacha system to be implemented in Relink since it's a full-price release. So, players can enjoy the game without the uncertainty and randomness associated with gacha elements.
