They quickly fell into a whirlwind romance, but Diane started to notice that they never traveled together despite their constant jet-setting. Several months later, Diane discovered the truth that Jeremy was using her as a courier to launder money in foreign banks, leaving her horrified.

Jeremy coerced Diane into laundering money for him by using her past name change to hide from her history. However, when Jeremy was eventually exposed, he promised not to reveal any information about Diane to the police and was subsequently imprisoned. After his release from prison in November 2022, Jeremy discovered Diane's whereabouts through a tip from Phyllis Summers and went to confront her at Jabot.

During their conversation, Jeremy demanded that Diane return the money she had stolen, but when she explained it was gone, he asked her to prove her sincerity by committing theft. Diane presented him with Nikki Newman's necklace, and they shared a kiss but did not sleep together.

Detective Chance Chancellor later found the stolen necklace at Jeremy's house, leading to Jeremy's arrest. Although he accused Diane and Jack of setting him up, he was unable to prove his allegations.

Is Jeremy Stark leaving Young and the Restless?

James Hyde, who plays Jeremy on The Young and the Restless, confirmed on an Instagram live that he and his character were done with the show for the time being, following what appeared to be a fatal confrontation with Phyllis. However, as a seasoned soap opera actor, Hyde acknowledged that death isn't always final in the soap world.

Even though Jeremy was talked about and briefly seen in flashback scenes, his appearance in the Oct. 21, 2022 episode was just the beginning of his storyline. However, his time on the show came to a gruesome end in April 2023. Despite the circumstances, Hyde expressed his love for the character and his positive experience working on the show, with Peter Bergman being particularly welcoming.

During the live chat, fellow soap actors Rory Gibson and Greg Vaughan made surprise appearances in the comments. Although Jeremy Stark, portrayed by James Hyde, had only been briefly seen in flashback scenes and mentioned in discussions on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, his initial appearance in the October 21, 2022 episode hinted at a more prominent role to come.

Unfortunately, his run on the show ended in a gruesome manner in April 2023. He also revealed that he and Phyllis had gotten married just days earlier, stunning the crowd.

Young And The Restless

The Young and the Restless is a popular American soap opera developed by William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell for CBS. The series is based in a fictional town called Genoa City, which is not related to the real Genoa City in Wisconsin. Initially, the show aired for half an hour, five times a week, starting on March 26, 1973. On February 4, 1980, it was expanded to one-hour episodes.

The show has been syndicated internationally, and previous episodes are still aired on Pop during weeknights. The original focus of the show was on two families: the wealthy Brooks family and the working-class Foster family. However, after some departures in the early 1980s, new core families such as the Abbotts and the Williamses were introduced.

Over time, other families such as the Newman family, the Barber/Winters family, and the Baldwin-Fishers were also brought in. Despite the changes, one of the most notable storylines in the show's history was the 40-year-long feud between Jill Abbott and Katherine Chancellor, which is considered to be the longest rivalry in any American soap opera.
