Who is Valentin Cassadine?
Valentin Cassadine, a fictional character in the American soap opera General Hospital, was created by head writer Robert Guza Jr. in 2009. Originally intended as a previously unknown member of the powerful Cassadine family, with plans to disrupt both the Cassadine and Spencer families, the character's introduction was postponed and ultimately abandoned by 2010.
In 2016, it was announced that James Patrick Stuart, known for his role in All My Children, had joined the cast in the mysterious role of Theo, who is later revealed to be Valentin. Valentin is depicted as the most malevolent of the Cassadine sons, having been disowned by his father at a young age. During the storyline, he even poisons his own mother, Helena, portrayed by Constance Towers.

It’s not known if Valentin is leaving General Hospital. The character Valentin received assistance from Laura in defeating Victor's guard and ensuring Charlotte's safe return. When Anna was framed for Lucy's murder, Valentin sought Sonny's help to free her during a prison transport and provide her with shelter in a secure location. As they travelled the world while evading the law, their relationship deepened, and they eventually managed to locate Lucy in France with the help of Anna's old friend Andre Maddox and Valentin's former contact, Renee. However, their trust was betrayed by Renee, leading Valentin and Anna to fake their deaths, along with Lucy's, in order to escape from Victor's men.
Upon their arrival in Greenland, Valentin made a brave sacrifice by allowing himself to be captured by the guards and taken into the bunker to confront his father. Seeing Valentin as no longer his son, Victor decided to test a lethal pathogen and antidote on him, ordering Liesl Obrecht to administer the substances.
Does Valentin Die on General Hospital?
It seems Valentin Die does not die in General Hospital. In a secret encounter, Valentin sought Drew's assistance and convinced him to join their mission to thwart Victor. Together, they manipulated deputy mayor Eileen Ashby into helping them by providing Victor with a fake Ice Princess necklace, intending to discover his true motives.
Unfortunately, Victor became suspicious and uncovered the whereabouts of their safe house. After forcing Valentin to surrender the genuine jewels, Victor punished his son by shooting Anna at close range. Valentin experienced immense relief when Anna survived the surgery, and he later agreed to join a group headed to Greenland to confront Victor and investigate a supposedly lost baby and the reunion of Nina and Sasha. Nina, however, discovered the deception at their wedding, leading her to secretly plot against Valentin.

Helena had used Valentin's stolen sperm and Lulu's stolen egg, implanting the embryo in surrogate Claudette. This sparked a custody battle, leading Valentin to marry Nina hastily. Lulu was determined to fight for her child.
Valentin's past with Anna resurfaced through her memories, and he revealed that her rejection had inspired him to change. Despite the tension caused by Anna's investigation, Valentin remained devoted during her illness. The truth emerged that Anna, who was pursuing Valentin, was actually her twin sister, Alex. Valentin sang to Nina at the Nurses Ball and protected her during a hostage situation, reigniting their connection. However, Valentin's involvement with the Chimaera virus led to his arrest.
Upon his release, Valentin aimed to start afresh with Nina and agreed to share custody of Charlotte with Lulu. Yet he harboured secrets, including his true parentage as Anna's son with Henrik Faison. The revelation led to Faison killing Nathan and Nina blaming Valentin. To regain Nina's love, Valentin orchestrated a scheme.
