Ja Morant Hand Injury

On April 7, while playing against the Bucks, Morant suffered an injury to his right hand. He was safeguarding Jae Crowder on a drive and stuck his hand, making a beeline for the storage space after the play.  Morant has played with his right hand heavily taped ever since that injury. The star guard made a mistake in Game 1 against the Lakers when he tried to finish over Anthony Davis and fell awkwardly.

Morant went through different tests and imaging, none of which uncovered a physical issue to his right hand or wrist. Morant told reporters that the pain in his right hand was a 10 and that he was unable to use it after suffering the injury in Game 1.

What Happened to Ja Morant Hand?

During Friday night's victory over the Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant went back to the locker room with what appeared to be a hand injury. A positive sign was Morant's quick return to the game after returning from the locker room.

After the game, Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins said that Morant's hand X-rays came back negative. The team hopes Morant will be ready to play, and Jenkins added that Morant will ice it.

Did Ja Morant Break his Hand?

Morant endured what was named as a right hand and wrist injury on April 7 in a crash with the Milwaukee Bucks' Jae Crowder. The X-rays showed nothing. In the following regular season game, the injury occurred. Morant didn't play in the normal season finale and had his right hand secured for Sunday's Down 1. Morant clumsily arrived on his right hand after an impact with Davis with 5 minutes, 48 seconds left in Game 1.

He jumped to his feet in apparent pain and ran off the court. Coach Taylor Jenkins stated on Sunday that the Grizzlies' star guard had negative X-rays. As he returned to the bench, Morant, whose right hand was already taped, had yet another layer of tape on his hand.

Although Jenkins stated that Morant could only return to the game in an emergency, he did not participate in it again.

Is Ja Morant Playing Tonight?

Morant missed Game 2 with what the group has just called "right-hand irritation," yet signs are arising that he might attempt to play in the forthcoming match. Memphis head coach Taylor Jenkins made the announcement following the team's practice on Friday that Morant took part in a non-contact practice and will be listed as questionable for Game 3.

Although this information gives some hope that Morant will appear, the fact that he only participated in non-contact drills raises questions about whether or not he is prepared to handle the game's physical demands. ESPN's Tim MacMahon said that Morant will start Game 3.

Having their star point guard on the court would be a significant boost with the series tied at 1-1. Morant completed game 1 with 18 places and changed over 8 of his 14 field objective endeavors. Due to injuries, he hasn't been at his best recently, and his team won't be able to beat the Lakers without him.
