José Carlos Altuve, born on May 6, 1990, is a Venezuelan professional baseball second baseman who currently plays for the Houston Astros in Major League Baseball (MLB). Altuve has been with the Astros since 2011, making him the longest-tenured member of the team and the only player to have been with the Astros since their time in the National League.
