Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 9 Ending Explained

In the latest episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2, Gojo faces both new and old enemies while trying to protect the citizens in Shibuya station. Things get chaotic because he's the only Jujutsu Sorcerer there. However, he quickly defeats everyone around him. But when a train full of transformed humans arrives, Gojo has to use his powerful domain expansion technique, but he only uses it for a fraction of a second to avoid harming regular people.

This puts everyone in a trance-like state, allowing Gojo to kill around a thousand transformed humans in a short time. However, after this, Gojo is caught off guard. He notices a box in front of him, and as he tries to escape, he encounters Geto Suguru, his childhood friend he had killed in a previous battle. Geto's plan was to distract Gojo long enough for a special prison realm to capture him, which takes one minute.

As for who's using Geto Suguru's body, it's not actually Geto. The person in control revealed that they are using an ancient technique that allows them to inhabit Geto's body as long as the brain is intact. Because Gojo didn't give Geto a proper burial, the person was able to take over his body and use Geto's cursed techniques.

Tatsuya Kitani sang the opening theme, "Where Our Blue Is," and Soushi Sakiyama performed the ending theme, "Light."

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is based on a manga by Gege Akutami. It follows Yuji Itadori, a high school student who joins a secret group of Jujutsu Sorcerers to deal with a powerful Curse named Ryomen Sukuna, who takes over Yuji's body. This new season will explore different parts of the story that fans have been curious about. Each episode is about 20-25 minutes long.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 9 Plot

In a big fight, Gojo battles against Jogo and Hanami up close, while Choso attacks from behind. He manages to defeat Hanami completely using his special power, but Jogo tries to escape while keeping Gojo occupied. Then, Mahito shows up with a train full of people turned into monsters, causing chaos in the subway.

To protect the innocent bystanders, Gojo uses a powerful protective technique called "Domain Expansion: Infinite Void," but only for a very short time, 0.2 seconds. During this brief moment, he swiftly eliminates a thousand of the transformed humans, but it exhausts him greatly. Just as he's about to escape, a special prison realm traps him.

Surprisingly, Geto appears and Gojo recognizes him, even though he thought Geto was dead. However, it turns out that the person in Geto's body is not really Geto. He reveals himself as an ancient sorcerer who stole Geto's body to use Geto's powerful cursed techniques for his own plans. Meanwhile, Yuji gets an unusual earpiece that alerts him to Gojo's predicament.
