Kathal Ending Explained
Mahima Basor, a dedicated police officer in the fictional town of Moba, apprehends a notorious local criminal named Veer Singh. However, to her dismay, the Superintendent takes credit for the arrest during a press conference, leaving Mahima unrecognized for her efforts. Despite this setback, Mahima finds solace in her relationship with Constable Saurabh Dwivedi.
Unexpectedly, a prominent local politician named Munnalal Pateria contacts the police after his rare breed of kathal fruits are stolen. The peculiar nature of the case surprises the police force, but the Superintendent insists that Mahima takes charge of the investigation, even though she believes there are more pressing matters at hand.
Meanwhile, a journalist named Anuj attempts to gather information about the case but Mahima advises him to wait until the investigation concludes. Mahima learns that the recently fired gardener, whose phone is switched off, has a daughter who appears in photographs of the garden.
While Mahima remains focused on solving more significant cases, Saurabh becomes preoccupied with posting pictures of the missing kathals, disregarding a constable's report about his missing car. Munnalal continues to pressure the police to recover his kathals and even demands the Superintendent's resignation if unsuccessful.
In a bid to motivate Mahima, the Superintendent promises her a promotion to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) if she solves the case. However, Mahima prioritizes Saurabh's promotion instead. Their relationship has been strained since Mahima's promotion to inspector caused discord between their families. The Superintendent assures Mahima of a special recommendation for Saurabh.
The police launch an extensive search for the stolen fruits, but their efforts yield no results. Eventually, a gardener named Birwa arrives at the police station to file a complaint about his missing daughter, Amiya. Mahima swiftly arrests Birwa and informs the Superintendent that they have found the culprit.
Birwa insists on his innocence, stating that he did not intimidate the politician's son and had tried to report his daughter's disappearance earlier, but Saurabh neglected the complaint.
