Kelly Tyler Olynyk, born on April 19, 1991, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, is a professional basketball player currently associated with the Toronto Raptors in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Olynyk played college basketball for the Gonzaga Bulldogs, earning NCAA All-American honors in 2013.
Opting to forgo his senior year in college, Olynyk was chosen as the 13th overall pick in the 2013 NBA draft by the Dallas Mavericks. However, he was swiftly traded to the Boston Celtics. Subsequently, in July 2017, he signed with the Miami Heat, contributing to the team's journey to the NBA Finals in 2020.
In March 2021, Olynyk was traded to the Houston Rockets and later signed with the Pistons in August of the same year. He experienced subsequent trades to the Utah Jazz in 2022 and, eventually, to the Toronto Raptors in 2024.
