Robert 'Khula' Budi, a former Mr. Kenya and actor known for his role in Maria, has reportedly been arrested and is currently being held at Karen Police station, according to information he shared on his social media accounts. The actor claims that he was assaulted along with his wife and daughter by a Nigerian national who came to their house.
“I am currently being held at the Karen police station since yesterday without bail. A Nigerian national came to my house, attacked and assaulted me. He was abusive to my wife and daughter. He has paid the OCS at Karen police station to hold me here illegally without bail. I got a p3 form of the assault but the police officers have managed to take it out of my bag and instead replaced it with blank papers…,” the actor wrote.
He alleged that the police have denied him bail and are holding him illegally. Khula Budi also shared copies of p3 forms from the hospital where he was treated for injuries sustained in the alleged assault.
“...I’ve been assaulted in my own country by a Nigerian national who came to my house! with no protection form the police or Kenyan government,” he added.
The actor has urged people to share his story and make phone calls to the OCS at Karen police station for help.
