King of Fighters
The King of Fighters (KOF) is a bunch of fighting video games made by SNK. It all started in 1994 with The King of Fighters '94 game. At first, these games were made for SNK's Neo Geo MVS arcade machines. They kept using Neo Geo MVS until 2004 when they decided to switch to a different arcade machine called Atomiswave. They made two King of Fighters games for Atomiswave, which were The King of Fighters Neowave and The King of Fighters XI. But after that, SNK stopped using Atomiswave.
Now, the newest arcade machine they use is called Taito Type X2, and they started using it with The King of Fighters XII. They also made versions of these games for different video game consoles. The latest game in the series is called The King of Fighters XV, and it came out in February 2022.
