Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the area. A spokesperson from the West Midlands Ambulance Service stated, "Upon arrival, our paramedics discovered a collision involving two pedestrians and a vehicle. They immediately commenced advanced trauma care for the first patient, a child, and subsequently transferred them via land ambulance to Birmingham Children's Hospital for additional medical assistance."

"The second patient, a woman, received extensive medical attention from our ambulance staff for her serious injuries. She was promptly transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with the assistance of a land ambulance, using emergency lights and sirens," the spokesperson added.

Efforts have been made to reach out to the West Midlands Police and West Midlands Ambulance Service for their official statements regarding the incident.

West Midlands Roads has cautioned the public about significant traffic disruptions resulting from the closure of Kings Heath High Street in both directions. They advised, "Please avoid the area and allow extra travel time."

Providing an update, a representative from the West Midlands Ambulance Service mentioned, "Upon arrival, our crews attended to the collision involving two pedestrians and a vehicle. Immediate advanced trauma care was administered to the first patient, a child, who was then transported via land ambulance to Birmingham Children's Hospital for further medical treatment."

"Our ambulance staff also treated the second patient, a woman, for her serious injuries. She was expeditiously transported to Queen Elizabeth Hospital using a land ambulance with emergency lights activated," the representative further explained.
