In Kirby's Return To Dream Land Deluxe, Cookie Country marks the start of your adventure. This stage serves as a tutorial, walking you through all of Kirby's amazing powers. You'll discover how to execute various platforming portions as well as how to perform his signature move of sucking in adversaries. The boss battle that awaits you at the end of the sector will require you to select one of Kirby's Copy Abilities in order to prevail. You'll want to get off to a good start because Planet Popstar is the setting for an amazing adventure.
First Section
Upon entering the stage, follow the arrow and use the Waddle Dee to smash the block and receive a star. Continue using the Waddle Dee to destroy other blocks and enemies. Swallow the knight enemy to gain the Sword Copy Ability, allowing you to attack enemies up close or from a distance. Collect stars by jumping across platforms and run across gaps to collect more stars. Learn how to hover by repeatedly pressing the jump button and kill the flying enemy. Second Section
Navigate through the cave area, taking out a fire-breathing enemy and a knight. Create a hole to proceed and collect the star-shaped key while avoiding mushroom enemies. Remove a large block to access an extra life, and defeat a giant patchwork Waddle Dee that splits into three enemies.
Third Section
You're now in a spacious area surrounded by lush green fields. Follow the arrow pointing to the right, and a knight will emerge from a star-shaped opening in the sky. Inhale it to obtain the Ultra Sword Super Ability, which is a powerful attack that can destroy obstacles and enemies in your path. However, the ability is time-limited, and the gauge below Kirby indicates how much time you have left.
Use the Ultra Sword to demolish the platform with Waddle Dees on it and move forward. Repeat the same process when you encounter the next obstacle, and when you come across the large patchwork Waddle Dee with smaller enemies around it.
Keep using the Ultra Sword to clear the way, and eventually, you'll see another star-shaped opening appear in the sky. Kirby will be pulled into it, and you'll advance to the next section.
Fourth Section
After losing your Copy Abilities, you'll need to inhale the block to attack the Waddle Dee and keep swallowing any enemies you encounter. When you encounter the big Waddle Dee, hold down the swallow button to suck it up, then release it at the blocks and Waddle Dees ahead.
You'll encounter another group of large blocks to swallow, so repeat the process to clear the way of the smaller blocks and Waddle Dees. When you reach the next giant Waddle Dee, do the same thing.
Next, you'll come across another set of blocks. Inhale all of them to clear the path ahead for a while. Defeat the patchwork Waddle Dee up ahead and enter the door to finish this section.

Players planning to complete everything Return to Dreamland Deluxe has to offer will need to do all this, and it takes about twice the amount of time needed to simply race through the story. This puts completing Return to Dreamland Deluxe at around a 13+ hour runtime, at minimum.
