Last Epoch is a video game created by Eleventh Hour Games (EHG), falling under the genre of hack and slash action role-playing. The game's journey began with a free playable demo released in April 2018 as part of Last Epoch's Kickstarter campaign, allowing players to get a taste of the upcoming experience.
Moving forward, in April 2019, the game entered its beta phase and became accessible through Steam Early Access. Originally set for a full release in April 2020, Last Epoch faced a delay and was rescheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2020. Last Epoch Glyph of Despair
The Last Epoch Glyph of Despair is a special crafting tool with a unique purpose. When used in crafting, it has the ability to seal an affix on an item instead of upgrading it. This means that instead of improving the affix, the Glyph of Despair moves it to a dedicated sealed slot on the item and freezes its properties.
Sealing an affix with this glyph comes with certain characteristics. The sealed affix occupies its own slot, freeing up the original slot for a new affix to be added during crafting. Once sealed, the affix cannot be modified or removed, providing a fixed bonus or property to the item. However, it's important to note that applying a Rune of Ascendance will remove the sealed affix.
The likelihood of successfully sealing an affix is influenced by various factors. The chance to seal is higher for affixes of lower tiers, items with fewer open affix slots, and exalted items. Due to the nature of the glyph, a sealed affix can never be higher than tier 4. It's important to keep in mind that the Glyph of Despair cannot be used on Unique Equipment or Set Equipment.
To access the crafting functionality associated with the Glyph of Despair, you can press [F] to open the Crafting Panel in the Last Epoch game. This feature adds an interesting layer to the crafting system, allowing players to strategically choose when and how to use the glyph for optimizing their gear.
