Fleeing Javert, Valjean raises Cosette and becomes a philanthropist. Love blossoms between Cosette and Marius, sparking a series of events during a revolution. Tragedy strikes as friends die, including Éponine, who sacrifices herself for Marius. Javert, conflicted by Valjean's mercy, takes his own life.
Valjean, fearing his past's impact, prepares to leave but not before revealing the truth to Marius. At Marius and Cosette's wedding, Valjean peacefully passes away, joining loved ones in the afterlife.
