Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Will Make You Cry

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the latest game in the Yakuza series, which I discovered and fell in love with. At first, I thought it was just a regular crime game, but it turned out to be so much more. It has funny mini-games and karaoke performances that made me realize how different it is. I played the new game and wanted to share my thoughts.

The game is set on Dandoko Island, a beautiful and sunny place. I got to play it for a few hours and it was a lot of fun. At first, I thought it was too much, but after playing for 90 minutes, I understood why they showed so much gameplay. This new game is unpredictable and has unique gameplay.

During my preview, I did a lot of different things, like fighting a huge shark and building my island, kind of like Animal Crossing. The game takes you on a crazy journey through different places, with drama, absurdity, and even emotional moments that may make you cry. That's what makes Like a Dragon special.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Gameplay

In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, players control two main characters, Ichiban Kasuga and Kazuma Kiryu, along with their party members. They explore the Isezaki Ijincho district in Yokohama and also visit Honolulu City in Hawaii. The game uses a turn-based combat system, where each character can choose different jobs or classes that give them unique abilities and playstyles. Kiryu has a special job called "Dragon of Dojima" that lets him switch between fighting styles and use real-time combat. The Poundmates summon system is back, allowing players to call in various characters from the Yakuza series for help in battles.

There are both returning and new mini-games in Infinite Wealth. Some of the returning ones include Karaoke, Darts, and Mahjong. The new mini-games include Crazy Delivery, which is inspired by Sega's Crazy Taxi and involves delivering food, Sujimon Battle, a parody of Pokémon where players collect and battle creatures, and Miss Match, a dating app game for Kasuga. One major side activity is called Happy Resort Dondoko Island, where Kasuga manages his resort island and completes tasks like gathering resources, crafting, and interacting with others. Kiryu also has his side activity called Bucket List, where he reunites with old friends and allies from previous Like a Dragon games.

Overall, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth offers an immersive experience with its exploration, combat system, and a variety of mini-games and side activities for players to enjoy.
