In the future, Rory visits her dying mother Chloe, who later passes away and goes to heaven. There, Amenadiel offers to take her home, but she chooses to stay and see what Lucifer has been doing. It turns out that he has been helping souls in a therapy room in hell, including Linda's ex-husband and even Le Mec. Later, Chloe appears at the door in her young body, and the two embrace as the credits roll. The finale is emotionally satisfying, unpredictable, and a well-deserved conclusion for the characters.
