In the realm of this game, character progression to higher tiers involves a unique process. By binding or combining a character with an identical copy, you can elevate them to the next tier. However, this copy must be at the maximum level, boasting 13 covers, and be at the same tier. Interestingly, if the duplicate character is already championed with additional levels, these levels are transferred to the next tier but at a diminished rate.
Following the ascension, you can infuse additional levels into the character, yet again at a reduced rate, and reap champion rewards. The reduction in cover rate varies depending on the tier: in the 3-Star Tier, it takes 2 covers to increase by 1 level; in the 4-Star Tier, it's 3 covers to 1 level, and in the 5-Star Tier, 4 covers equate to 1 level. Shards, on the other hand, smoothly transition to the subsequent level during ascension. While ascending with a copy possessing the minimum levels swiftly propels the character to 550, achieving this using the least number of covers, ascending with two Max Champs allows for a "double-dip" in champ rewards. However, this approach necessitates more covers to reach the coveted 550 due to the reduced cover rates.

Marvel Puzzle Quest Gameplay
In Marvel Puzzle Quest, players create a team of three Marvel superheroes or supervillains from different stories. They control this team in battles against other teams of up to three heroes or villains. The battles happen in turns, where matching three gems of the same color deals damage to the opponent and earns special abilities called action points. New gems replace the ones that disappear.
The game board has six colors of gems. Matching these gems grants energy to perform special moves. Players take turns hitting each other until one team is defeated. When all enemies are defeated, the winner gets rewards like in-game currency, boosts, or a new character. If the new character is a duplicate, it helps level up the existing character.
To progress and improve, players earn points by winning battles, which they use to unlock new attacks and level up. The game has two main modes: story and multiplayer, where players can fight against computer-controlled teams. While the game is free, players can choose to buy level-ups or new characters.
