Mega Man Battle Network 4

If you're a fan of classic video games, you might have come across Mega Man Battle Network 4, a title that was released back in 2003 for the Game Boy Advance. Developed by Capcom, this game is the fourth installment in the Mega Man Battle Network series and features an interesting story, engaging gameplay, and the classic Mega Man characters that fans have come to love.

One of the unique features of Battle Network 4 is that it has two different versions: Red Sun and Blue Moon. While both versions share the same basic story, there are some differences in the gameplay and the characters you'll encounter. This gives players the opportunity to experience the game in a different way and adds to the overall replayability of the title.

One of the standout features of Battle Network 4 is its compatibility with the e-Reader, a device that allowed players to scan special cards with their Game Boy Advance to unlock additional content in games. With the e-Reader, players could scan Mega Man Battle Network 4 cards to unlock new scenarios, battle chips, and other bonus content. This added another layer of excitement and discovery to the game, making it even more enjoyable to play.

In addition to the e-Reader compatibility, Battle Network 4 could also be linked up with other Mega Man games like Rockman EXE 4.5 Real Operation and the Battle Chip Gate for NetBattles. This allowed players to battle against each other using their NetNavis, adding another level of competition to the game.

Another interesting aspect of Battle Network 4 is that it contains references to Konami's Boktai series. Players who had a copy of Boktai for the Game Boy Advance could unlock special content in Battle Network 4, giving them an added incentive to check out both games.

Overall, Mega Man Battle Network 4 is a classic game that's worth checking out if you're a fan of the Mega Man series or classic handheld games in general. With its engaging story, exciting gameplay, and unique features like e-Reader compatibility, Battle Network 4 offers a fun and rewarding gaming experience that's sure to keep you coming back for more.

Mega Man Battle Network 4 Walkthrough

The game follows the adventures of Lan Hikari and his digital companion Mega Man.EXE as they battle various enemies in a virtual world known as the Net. Here is a complete walkthrough for the game:

Chapter 1: The New PET

The game begins with a tutorial level that introduces the player to the game mechanics. After completing the tutorial, the player takes control of Lan and Mega Man.EXE as they head to school. Along the way, they encounter a mysterious new character named ShadeMan who challenges them to a NetBattle.

After defeating ShadeMan, Lan receives a new Personal Terminal (PET) from his father. The PET is a device that allows him to control Mega Man.EXE and access the Net. Lan then heads to school, where he meets his friends Mayl, Dex, and Yai. The group is then tasked with investigating a strange energy signature in the Net.

Chapter 2: Battle Tournament

After investigating the energy signature, Lan and his friends discover a Battle Tournament taking place in the Net. The tournament is being held by a mysterious organization known as Nebula. The group decides to enter the tournament in order to learn more about Nebula.

Throughout the tournament, Lan and Mega Man.EXE face off against a variety of opponents, including fellow NetBattlers and robots controlled by Nebula. After defeating all of the opponents, Lan and Mega Man.EXE are faced with a final challenge from the tournament's champion, a powerful NetNavi named Bass.

Chapter 3: Investigating Nebula

After the Battle Tournament, Lan and his friends continue to investigate Nebula. They discover that the organization is attempting to take control of various NetNavis and use them for their own purposes. Lan and Mega Man.EXE work together to stop Nebula and rescue the NetNavis.

As they investigate Nebula further, Lan and his friends discover that the organization is being led by a mysterious figure known as Dr. Regal. The group sets out to confront Dr. Regal and put an end to his plans.

Chapter 4: The Final Showdown

In the final chapter of the game, Lan and his friends face off against Dr. Regal and his forces. The group must navigate through a series of complex NetNavis and battle various enemies in order to reach Dr. Regal's stronghold.

Once they reach Dr. Regal, Lan and Mega Man.EXE engage him in a final battle. After defeating Dr. Regal, the group discovers that he was being controlled by a powerful NetNavi known as the "Zero Virus." Lan and Mega Man.EXE must then fight the Zero Virus in order to save the Net and prevent it from being destroyed.

After defeating the Zero Virus, Lan and Mega Man.EXE save the Net and return to the real world. The game ends with Lan and his friends reflecting on their experiences and looking forward to their next adventure.

Mega Man Battle Network 4 Guide

At the start of the game, the player finds themselves at NAXA, a space research center within the game. Scientists there have discovered a large asteroid heading towards Earth which, if it were to hit, would cause the extinction of all life. The game then shifts to the perspective of Lan Hikari and MegaMan.EXE, who are out shopping with their father when they encounter ShadeMan, a powerful NetNavi.

Upon defeating ShadeMan, the duo discovers a DarkChip, a program that can unleash great power at the cost of Navi's soul, and is warned not to use it. The game then returns to the scientists, who come up with a plan to use a laser to move the asteroid off course.

As the story progresses, Lan and MegaMan become embroiled in a battle against the DarkChip Syndicate Nebula, who are after the DarkChip that the duo possesses. After defeating a member of Nebula, they discover that the syndicate has its sights set on them and the DarkChip. Eventually, the duo comes face to face with LaserMan, the leader of Nebula, who reveals the DarkSoul lurking within MegaMan after he used the DarkChip.

Meanwhile, the scientists plan to use the laser fails, and Dr. Regal, one of the scientists, reveals his true intentions to use the asteroid for world domination. Lan and MegaMan participate in the Red Sun/Blue Moon Tournament, where they win and are then briefed on the situation by the scientists.

They are tasked with sending MegaMan to the asteroid to steer it away from the planet. Along the way, MegaMan meets Duo, the Operating System of the asteroid, and LaserMan, whom he defeats. In the end, MegaMan convinces Duo to spare the planet, and the asteroid leaves. Dr. Regal appears to have committed suicide, but it is later revealed in the sequel that he is still alive. Lan and MegaMan once again save the world from disaster.

Mega Man Battle Network 4 Gameplay

Mega Man Battle Network 4 is a video game developed by Capcom for the Game Boy Advance (GBA) handheld game console. It is the fourth game in the Mega Man Battle Network series and has several new features that differentiate it from its predecessor, Battle Network 3.

One of the most significant additions to Battle Network 4 is the concept of DoubleSoul, which is similar to how the classic-style Mega Man could acquire the weapons of the Robot Masters he defeated. By using DoubleSoul, Mega Man.EXE could use the powers of other NetNavis in the same manner as how classic Mega Man could use the powers of the Robot Masters through their weapons.

However, to perform a DoubleSoul, a chip must be sacrificed for the battle, and the DoubleSoul lasts for a temporary amount of time (three turns). Another unique feature of Battle Network 4 is that it takes a minimum of three playthroughs of the game's main story mode to uncover all its secrets.

After each playthrough, a player can either continue with their existing game or start a new game at a higher level of difficulty. However, any save at a higher level of difficulty will overwrite a save of the lower level. Therefore, players who want to collect all chips and power-ups must ensure that all blue/purple mystery datas and all V1 virus' chips and program advances have been collected before starting Level 2.

DarkChips make their debut in this game and are powerful chips that result in a host of negative side-effects. A mood indicator in the corner of the screen shows Mega Man's mood, and if it changes to a negative one, random DarkChips will appear in Mega Man's Custom Screen.

Each DarkChip has many negative and permanent side-effects, tainting MegaMan's own soul with darkness. If the darkness overwhelms MegaMan, he will find a different selection of chips available to use, with a different selection of Program Advances. When a DarkChip is used (aside from the battle with Shade Man in the ToyRobo and in free tournaments at Higsby's shop), Mega Man permanently loses 1 HP for each and cannot regain all lost HP, even if purified.

There are also special chips that can only be used if Mega Man is entirely consumed by dark power, such as the 5 evil chips. On the other hand, if Mega Man performs enough battles (about 1000) without ever using a Dark Chip, he will turn brighter in color and allow him to more easily achieve Full Synchro mode.
