"MF Ghost" is a manga created by Shuichi Shigeno. It began its serialization in the Weekly Young Magazine, a manga magazine for adult readers, on September 4, 2017. The initial volume was released on January 5, 2018. As of October 2023, 18 volumes have been published. Additionally, Kodansha USA and Comixology shared their plans to digitally publish the manga starting from January 11, 2022. In May 2023, the series was also made available on Kodansha's K Manga online platform.
An anime TV show called "MF Ghost" based on this manga was announced on January 4, 2022. The show is made by a company called Felix Film. MF Ghost Plot
The story happens in the late 2020s to early 2030s when cars that drive themselves and run on electricity have taken over from the old gas-powered ones. But in Japan, there's a big group called MFG, led by Ryosuke Takahashi from the Initial D series, who still races with old-style cars.
A new racer named Kanata Rivington, a 19-year-old Japanese-British guy has joined in.He races under the name Kanata Katagiri. He drives a Toyota 86 and has beaten some of the best European cars like the Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4, Ferrari 488 GTB, and others.
Kanata was trained by the famous racer Takumi Fujiwara, who was the main character in the Initial D series. He learned at the Royal Donington Racing School in the UK and even became a Formula 4 world champion. His main goal is to find his father, whom he hasn't seen in a long time.
