Modern Warfare 3 features Call of Duty's largest weapon selection yet. A total of 114 weapons are available at launch. This includes 37 new weapons and 77 carried over from Modern Warfare 2 through the "Carry Forward" program.
Weapons are marked with logos indicating their origin game for easy identification in menus. Players who unlock Modern Warfare 2 weapons will seamlessly access them in Modern Warfare 3 with retained levels, attachments, and camos.
New players or those incomplete in unlocking Modern Warfare 2's arsenal can complete challenges in multiplayer. Weapons can also be unlocked by finding them during a Modern Warfare 3 Zombies match.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is an exciting video game where players engage in intense combat situations. Made by Sledgehammer Games and brought out by Activision, it's the twentieth installment in the Call of Duty series. It was released on November 10, 2023, across different gaming platforms, the game follows the adventures of Task Force 141 as they chase after a dangerous terrorist named Vladimir Makarov.
In addition to its compelling storyline, the game offers a multiplayer mode with updated maps and introduces a zombie mode for the first time in the Modern Warfare series. Originally planned as an expansion, it evolved into a standalone title, using advanced technology to provide a realistic gaming experience.

In Modern Warfare III's gameplay, players can expect a familiar experience with features like slide canceling from previous Call of Duty games. In the story of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, things happen after the events of Modern Warfare II. The plot unfolds in made-up places like Verdansk, Kastovia, and Urzikstan. The main bad guy is a terrorist named Vladimir Makarov.
The good guys are Task Force 141, led by characters such as Captain John Price, Lieutenant Simon "Ghost" Riley, Sergeant Kyle "Gaz" Garrick, and Sergeant John "Soap" MacTavish. Players also get to be part of Makarov's private military company, Konni Group.
The Zombies story takes place in Urzikstan in 2021, after the events of Modern Warfare (2019) and about 40 years after the Black Ops Cold War. It involves characters like Victor Zakhaev, a Russian arms dealer, and Sergei Ravenov, a former Spetsnaz captain who knows about dealing with zombies.
There are also new characters, like Jack Fletcher from the private military company Terminus Outcomes and Selma Greene, who leads Operation Deadbolt, a CIA plan created after the Cold War outbreak.
