Mortal Kombat 1 Sub-zero's Tower Mode Ending Explained

In Mortal Kombat 1, there's a character called Sub-Zero. His real name is Bi-Han, and he's the older brother of another character named Scorpion, whose real name is Kuai Liang. Both of them are part of a group called the Lin Kuei. At first, they help Liu Kang and his friends in their adventure.

But as the story goes on, something changes. Sub-Zero decides to go against his brother, Scorpion, and starts supporting a bad guy named Shang Tsung. His goal is to make the Lin Kuei clan very powerful on Earth. This makes him turn against Liu Kang, who is trying to protect Earth.

However, Scorpion stays on Liu Kang's side and supports him. Because of Sub-Zero's bad actions, something important happens in the game's Tower Mode. When you finish this mode playing as Sub-Zero, there's a movie-like scene that shows him successfully freeing the Lin Kuei warriors from Liu Kang's control.

Mortal Kombat 1 Gameplay

Mortal Kombat 1 brings a host of exciting gameplay features to the table. The game includes a story mode, online multiplayer with rollback netcode for smooth online battles, and offline gameplay options. A unique addition to the series is the introduction of "Kameo Fighters," special characters that players can call upon to aid them in fights, adding a new layer of strategy to battles.

These Kameo Fighters are distinct from the main roster and can be selected before each fight. Additionally, Mortal Kombat 1 revives the Air Kombat combo system, refining it for this installment. The game's combat mechanics promise to deliver the signature brutal and fast-paced fighting action that fans of the series have come to love over the years.

Mortal Kombat 1 Plot

After beating Kronika and Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, now a Fire God, uses Kronika's Hourglass to restart the universe. He then gives up control to Geras and focuses on protecting Earthrealm, fearing the corrupting power of absolute control. He teams up with Outworld, and in the present, recruits fighters for a Mortal Kombat tournament.

Geras tells Liu Kang that Shang Tsung is back, serving Outworld's Empress Sindel. Liu Kang sends some fighters to investigate. They find Shang Tsung harming Tarkatans, but save the princess Mileena. However, Mileena is turned against them and they are captured. They escape and learn Quan Chi's dark plans.

Liu Kang sends warriors to stop soul stealers and Shang Tsung. Sub-Zero joins Shang Tsung's side. After battles and revelations, Titan Shang Tsung emerges, creating chaos.
