General Gameplay Improvements:

• Fixed some mistakes in move lists.
• Corrected translation errors.
• Solved a problem where Player 2 could push their opponent too far during certain combos.
• Fixed an issue where certain combo attacks couldn't be performed properly if a specific move was executed with precise timing.
• Fixed issues that made some attacks from Stryker and Sektor unstoppable.

Character-Specific Changes:

• Ashrah: Fixed a problem where Crushing Knee could pass through opponents.
• Goro (Kameo): Stomp attack has higher priority when hitting at the same time as his partner's attacks.
• Havik: Certain attacks no longer automatically turn the character to face the opponent.
• Jax (Kameo): Ground Pound attack has higher priority when hitting at the same time as his partner's attacks.
• Kung Lao: Kung-Kussion now auto faces the opponent when performed after jumping over them.
• Shujinko (Kameo): Mimic Ice Klone & Ice Ball will no longer be repeated when the opponent is hit by Time Stop.
• Various attacks that weren't working correctly against high-parry special moves have been fixed for multiple characters.

Mortal Kombat 1 Gameplay

Mortal Kombat 1 is set to include several exciting features. It's confirmed to have a story mode, online multiplayer using rollback netcode, and options for offline gameplay. One new addition is the 'Kameo Fighters' feature, offering player assistance during battles.

These characters will be distinct from the main roster and can be selected before each fight. Furthermore, the game brings back the Air Kombat combo system, previously seen in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon and the action spin-off Shaolin Monks, with refinements tailored specifically for this installment.

Mortal Kombat 1 Plot

After defeating Kronika and Shang Tsung, Liu Kang, now a Fire God, uses Kronika's Hourglass to recreate the universe. He gives up control to avoid being corrupted by power. He forms an alliance with Outworld and decides to continue the Mortal Kombat tournaments. In the present, Liu Kang recruits Kung Lao, Raiden, Johnny Cage, and Kenshi to join the latest tournament. Raiden becomes Earthrealm's champion.

Geras informs Liu Kang that Shang Tsung is back, advising Outworld's Empress Sindel. Liu Kang sends Kenshi, Kung Lao, and Johnny to investigate. They encounter Tarkatans and Shang Tsung extracting bone marrow from their leader, Baraka. They stop Shang Tsung but are captured by Mileena and Kitana.

Shang Tsung plans to steal souls on a massive scale, but the group, with Reptile's help, escapes. They confront Quan Chi and destroy a soul-stealing device. They return to Earthrealm to warn Liu Kang. Sub-Zero, Scorpion, and Smoke are sent to destroy the soul stealers but are captured. Geras informs Liu Kang of a time fracture, caused by Damashi from a parallel timeline.

Liu Kang travels to Outworld to expose Shang Tsung's plan. Ermac attacks, but Mileena defeats him, leading to the appearance of Emperor Jerrod's soul in Ermac. They destroy soul stealers and face Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, and Damashi, who reveals himself as Titan Shang Tsung.

They battle Titan Shang Tsung and his army of revenants. After a tough fight, Liu Kang erases Titan Shang Tsung and his timeline. He returns everyone to their timelines and prepares Earthrealm. In a mid-credits scene, alternate timeline warriors led by Titan Havik vow to start a new, longer battle.

Liu Kang secretly watches over multiple timelines. An alternate Scorpion seeks a timeline where his wife Harumi is alive and single. He finds her, but she's married to another Scorpion. Frustrated, he tries to destroy the timeline but fails. Liu Kang sends him to a different timeline. Invasions continue across timelines. Hanzo Hasashi meets a version of Harumi who became Scorpion. They join forces to fight Quan Chi.
