Ōkami is a highly acclaimed action-adventure video game that was developed by Clover Studio and published by Capcom. Originally released in 2006 for the PlayStation 2 in Japan and North America, and in 2007 in Europe and Australia, it is set in classical Japan and is heavily inspired by Japanese mythology and folklore. The game's narrative follows the Shinto sun goddess, named Amaterasu, who appears in the form of a white wolf, on a mission to save the land from darkness.
One of the most notable features of Ōkami is its Sumi-e-inspired cel-shaded visual style, which gives the game a unique and beautiful appearance.
