Overwatch 2 Season 6: Invasion brings an exciting new threat to the world as Null Sector launches a global invasion with an ulterior motive to kidnap Omnics. A new generation of heroes must rise to save the day. In this season, players can embark on three Story Missions set in Rio de Janeiro, Toronto, and Gothenburg, fighting against intensified forces of Null Sector. Challenging enemies like Artillery and Stalkers await, making the missions action-packed and thrilling.
To jump into the action, players can purchase the Overwatch 2: Invasion Ultimate Bundle for $15 USD, which includes access to the Story Missions, 1,000 Overwatch Coins, and a brand-new Sojourn Legendary skin. This bundle provides a head-start in the Null Sector-themed Premium Battle Pass and unlocks Sojourn as a playable hero for new players upon completing Story Mission challenges.
For even more content, players can upgrade to the Overwatch 2: Ultimate Invasion Bundle for $40 USD, which includes everything from the previous bundle plus the Null Sector Premium Battle Pass with 20 Battle Pass skips, an additional 1,000 Overwatch Coins, and two more Legendary skins for Cassidy and Kiriko.
The Co-Op Event introduces a bonus co-op mission on King's Row, where players guide a well-armed TS-1 push bot to save the Omnic Underworld from Null Sector, facing new objectives and enemies.
The Flashpoint game mode adds intense PVP competition to Quick Play and Competitive Play, with teams vying for control of key positions called "flashpoints" on Overwatch 2's biggest PVP maps. Success in this mode requires both mechanical skills and strategic planning.

Overwatch 2: Invasion is set to launch on August 10, with more gameplay and content showcased later in the summer, including details about the new Support hero. Overwatch 2 Gameplay
Experience an evolution in the world of Overwatch with Overwatch 2's dynamic gameplay. From intense PvE story missions to revamped PvP modes, hero updates, and cross-progression, Overwatch 2 brings a fresh and immersive experience that sets the stage for epic battles, strategic teamwork, and continuous content updates.
Game Modes:
Overwatch 2 offers both PvE and PvP modes, such as Story Experience and Push. The game launched with new maps, heroes, an updated HUD, and a significant engine upgrade.
PvP Transformation:
The original 6v6 PvP mode transforms to 5v5, with one tank, two damage, and two support roles. Role passives were modified: damage heroes move faster, tanks have knockback reductions and reduced charge gain when attacked, and support heroes regenerate health when out of combat.
First-Time User Experience:
New players are guided through the First Time User Experience system to help them acclimate to the game.
Hero Appearances:
Updated appearances of current heroes are exclusive to Overwatch 2.
Cross-Progression:
Overwatch 2 features cross-progression, allowing players to merge their accounts across platforms into a single profile. All players need a battle.net account to access the game.
PvE Story Missions:
The game introduces PvE story missions set after Overwatch's recall. These missions feature larger maps compared to the original game, and elite units with distinct properties provide an added challenge.
Monetization Model:
Overwatch 2 uses a free-to-play model. Loot boxes from the original game are replaced with direct item acquisition through the battle pass and in-game shop. There's a free and paid track in the battle pass, with heroes available on the free track.
Carried Currencies:
Currencies from the original game carry over, although certain items in Overwatch 2 won't be purchasable using original game credits. Unopened loot boxes from the original game will be automatically opened before launch.
Security Requirements:
on October 4, 2022, players across platforms must have a phone number attached to their battle.net account to play Overwatch 2, enhancing security measures. The same phone number can't be used on multiple accounts simultaneously. Certain phone number types can't be used for SMS Protect.
