Overwatch 2

Overwatch 2 is a famous first-person shooter game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It is a sequel to the 2016 hero shooter Overwatch, which intends to create a shared environment for player-versus-player (PvP) modes while releasing persistent cooperative modes. A main change in PvP modes was to minimize team sizes from six to five. Many famous characters were also reworked. Overwatch 2 is free-to-play on platforms like the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Overwatch 2 was released on October 4, 2022.

BUG FIXES

General

• Modified the way Streamer Protect obfuscates Battle Tags
• Fixed a bug that caused Loverwatch player titles to not display
• Fixed an issue in the career profile where it displayed blank rankings for Competitive Role Queue
• Fixed an issue where if you owned all items in the Hero Pack, the price would display as 0.00
• Fixed an issue with the Season 3 banner not displaying when a player first logs into the game this season
• Challenges with multiple sub-criteria should now track correctly (For example - All-Star, Role Mastery, etc.)
• Mastery of Love and Blushing Pink event challenges now correctly display the 5000 XP reward gained from completing the challenges. (Note: If you completed these challenges before this update, you already received your XP. This was a visual issue only.)
• Fixed a visual issue during Competitive Updates for players in Top 500
• Fixed a bug where mouse sensitivity values with a decimal would be rounded to a whole number
• Fixed a bug where players would end up with a negative balance after making a purchase
• Legacy Credits in the Battle Pass are now silver instead of gold

Echo

• Echo will no longer revert to their original form when duplicating Junkrat during Rip-Tire

Symmetra

• Fixed in a previous update - Fixed the cast time for Symmetra's Photon Barrier being too long
• Fixed in a previous update - Fixed an issue where Symmetra would lose the ability to cast new Sentry Turrets if they were destroyed by the environment.

Overwatch 2 Gameplay

Overwatch 2 is a hero shooter game in which the players are grouped into two teams and choose a "hero" from a list of 35 characters. The characters are arranged into a "damage" class, which is responsible for offensive efforts. There is a "support" class, which is responsible for healing and honing. A "tank" class is present, which is responsible for the team's security. Every character has a unique set of skills containing active, passive, and ultimate abilities. Overwatch 2, fundamentally, centers on player versus player (PvP) battles across many different modes and maps. It includes both casual and ranked competitive matches.

The number of tank slots was reduced by one in Overwatch 2, bringing the total number of players per team to five. New maps were created to add more coverage options to enumerate for reduced tank-based protection. The damage-class heroes have an increased movement speed, the advanced heroes slowly revive, and tank heroes were remade so that they could take on a more invasible role. Most of the heroes were visually renovated to reflect the period of time since the events of the first game. Overwatch 2 adds a ping system to manage the attention of teammates to particular points on the map.

Overwatch 2 Reception 

Overwatch 2 got "generally favorable" reviews from the critics after its release, according to review aggregator Metacritic. On October 4, 2022, Overwatch without the PVE mode was released as early access for the platforms PlayStation 4 and 5, Windows, Xbox One and Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. By October 7, 2022, Blizzard had removed the requirement to check one's identity for those that had played the game since at least June 2021.
