Sublevel 1: Subzero Sauna - Disguised Delicacy and White Pikmin
Upon entering Subzero Sauna, start by taking out the hydro jelly to your immediate right to collect some GOLD NUGGET. Be cautious of the trap on the left that releases poison; we'll deal with it later. Head back to the right and clear out the frosty foes in the main large room. Destroy more hydro jelly to uncover the precious DISGUISED DELICACY at the center.
Proceed into the nearby tunnel and use your ice Pikmin to disarm any freeze traps. Eliminate the large hydro jelly to reveal the entrance to the next level. Before descending, explore the large room to the left, defeat an enemy, and gather the raw materials.
Now, remove the hydro jelly in this room to find a Candypop Bud, which transforms your Pikmin into WHITE PIKMIN. These new Pikmin can handle the poison trap encountered earlier. Gather the nuggets, and then head to the next level.
Sublevel 2: Subzero Sauna - Thawing the Ice
Prepare for the intense cold in this sublevel, which affects your Pikmin squad's efficiency. To fix the issue, destroy all the lumps of ice scattered around, and this will also allow you to access items from the thawed water. Begin by breaking the first ice cube in the opening area, being cautious of falling ice shards that can harm your Pikmin.
Move through the metal tunnel and create a shortcut by pushing a box out of the way. As your Pikmin start to shiver from the cold, encourage them by whistling and keeping them active until all ice blocks are taken care of.
In the corner of the area where the box was, locate a Candypop Bud to produce more WHITE PIKMIN. Then, in the next room, find a switch blocked by frozen water. Leave Oatchi behind and proceed through the iron bars to defeat a large snowball-chucking beast. Move to the area with the castaway, destroy the hydro jelly, and break the ice block beneath it.
We can now defeat the next large enemy in the area and collect its carcass along with several raw materials. Set your white Pikmin to work on the nearby poison trap. Remove the jelly in the corner to discover a TRUE GOO, but beware of a sneaky spider lurking nearby. The final ice block is on a platform behind some bars; use your ice Pikmin to thaw it and complete the level.
Retrieve the MEMORY FRAGMENT (LEFT EDGE) by hitting the switch, and rescue the castaway, OSA. To access the next level entrance, use Oatchi to scale the ledge. However, the water is still wet, preventing you from making the jump. Freeze it again with ice Pikmin, jump to the platform, call back your Pikmin, and make your exit.
Sublevel 3: Subzero Sauna - Boss Battle and Contemplation Station
In the final area, you'll face a boss fight against a large armored beastie. Start by breaking the ice blocks surrounding it to create a more favorable environment. Take out any nearby hydro jelly to gather nectar.
The boss is a slow mover; circle around it, and when it blows out cold air, move to its back, which exposes its weak point. Attack the weak point and time your whistle to retrieve your squad before it closes its wings. Watch out for falling debris and repeat this pattern to defeat the boss quickly.
After the victory, collect the boss carcass and rescue the castaway, FRISE. Before leaving, don't forget to grab the large CONTEMPLATION STATION beside the hydro jelly that's hiding the exit.
How to Get White Pikmin in Pikmin 4?
In Pikmin 4, players can obtain White Pikmin by exploring the Subzero Sauna Cave in the Serene Shores area. This cave is a crucial location where players can discover and unlock the White Pikmin. However, it's essential to note that players might miss this area during their initial playthrough if they rush past it.
