This extra adventure, called "The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Epilogue," teams up the player with characters Arven, Nemona, and Penny as they journey through Kitakami, the location featured in the Teal Mask DLC. To play this epilogue, gamers need to finish the main story of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, along with the stories of the Teal Mask and Indigo Disk expansions.
Indigo Disk, released on December 14th, brought back legendary Pokémon and lots of new stuff, even allowing players to become a Pokémon themselves. Fans got wind of the epilogue through data mining when Indigo Disk was released, so those who want to avoid spoilers might want to stay under the radar until the official release in January.
Pokémon Scarlet & Violet DLC Epilogue Release date
The Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC Epilogue is set to launch on January 11, 2024, marking the end of the two-part DLC storyline. Coming after the events of The Indigo Disk DLC, this new addition to the game's storyline is expected to reintroduce some familiar characters. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet soared in popularity, selling over 22 million copies within a year.
The DLC itself, called The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, was divided into two parts, The Teal’s Mask and The Indigo Disk, released on September 13 and December 14 respectively. The upcoming epilogue, showcased in a brief video set in Kitakami as seen in The Teal Mask, will be available for free but will require players to complete specific post-game events in the base game and finish the main stories of both The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk in order to access it.
