Prince of Persia: the lost Cown Motherly love side Quest Walkthrough

Initial Encounter:

  • You can first encounter this side quest after falling into The Depths.
  • Note: Due to the lack of access to your map, it's recommended to explore the lower area of The Depths first to finish the main quest "The Tiger and the Rat" and start "The Path to the Sand Prison" main quest. You'll also need the Time Power obtained during this exploration.

Meeting the Old Woman:

  • Head to the large room where you initially fell into The Depths.
  • Move right, fall down a slope to a series of breakaway platforms, and dash right to avoid falling.
  • Take the conveyor wall up, dash left to reach an upper floor, and find a lore item on the left alcove.
  • Encounter a mysterious robed Old Woman on the ledge to the right. Accept the Motherly Love Side Quest.

Exploration and Preparation:

  • With the Shadow of the Simurgh, explore connecting tunnels to the left of the initial fall into The Depths.
  • Teleport past large monstrosities using your Time Power.

Navigating the Tunnels:

  • Reach a high platform among sludge-spewing pipes and jump/slide under spinning traps.
  • Find a vertical shaft leading to a Wak-Wak Tree and Homa Statue.

Confronting the Undead Elrik:

  • Head left from the Wak-Wak Tree, pull down a trap door, and go up to the next level.
  • Navigate a hall, defeat skeletons, and confront the Undead Elrik mentioned by the Old Woman.
  • Utilize Simurgh powers, parry ranged attacks, and defeat the enemy.

Returning to the Old Woman:

  • Return to the previous room to find the Old Woman.
  • She congratulates you but reveals herself as a Crawler, triggering "The Trap in the Depths" Side Quest.

Facing the Crawler:

  • The Old Woman transforms into a Crawler and attacks with slicing moves.
  • Beware of its durability and a piercing tongue that strikes at range.
  • Defeat the Crawler to complete the quest.

Bonus Collectibles:

  • During the quest, find a lone Collectible Lore item in the very back of the area.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Gameplay

The Lost Crown is a side-scrolling action-adventure platform game where you control the character Sargon. Sargon can do things like jumping, sliding, and air dashing to move around quickly on different platforms. He uses a pair of blades to defeat enemies, and if you time it right, he can parry attacks to build up a special ability called Athra's Glow. The game also gives players time-based powers for both fighting and moving around, like Rush of the Simurgh, which lets Sargon dash forward through time instantly, and Shadow of the Simurgh, allowing him to create a temporary checkpoint.

In The Lost Crown, players will explore a connected game world with shortcuts and hidden rooms, solving puzzles to progress. By searching the world, players find Time crystals that can be used to upgrade Sargon's weapons. Sometimes, players might not have the right tools or skills to overcome an obstacle, but the game lets them take screenshots and mark them on the map to remember where they need to go back and solve puzzles later.
