Rainbow Six Siege Gameplay

In this first-person shooter game, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, players employ a selection of operators from the Rainbow squad. Operators come in a variety of racial groups and have different tools and weapons. The game's structure is asymmetrical, and the skill choices made by the teams are not always equal. The base Counter-Terrorism Units (CTUs) that are playable include the British SAS, German GSG-9, Russian Spetsnaz, French GIGN, and American Hostage Rescue Team (also known as the FBI SWAT in-game). There are four operators total in each of these units, four attackers and four defenders.

A "Recruit" operator is another option available to players, who can select from a wider range of tools at the expense of having a special tool or the capacity to modify their weapon. Prior to the start of a round, players can select any operator from any unit that is either defending or attacking, as well as their spawn spots and gun attachments. However, after the round has begun, players are not permitted to make changes to their selections.
