We deeply regret to inform you of the passing of Randi L. Van Lanen, a resident of De Pere, Wisconsin, born in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Randi peacefully departed this world on May 6, 2023, at the young age of 39, leaving behind a vast network of grieving family members and friends. Visitation was held on Saturday, May 13th, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Destiny Church, located at 411 Destiny Dr, De Pere, WI 54115. A solemn funeral service in loving memory of Randi took place at the same location on the same day, commencing at 3:00 PM.
In honor of Randi's memory, the family kindly requests that, instead of floral tributes, any contributions be directed towards Hunter's college fund. With heavy hearts, we announce the untimely passing of Randi L. Van Lanen at the age of 39, which occurred on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Born on May 23, 1983, in Green Bay to Terry Challe and the late Cindy Tachick, Randi's departure has left an indescribable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
Randi's educational journey led her to graduate from Ashwaubenon High School as part of the Class of 2002. On June 17, 2006, she exchanged vows with her beloved husband, David Van Lanen, in a heartfelt ceremony at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. Over the course of her professional career, Randi diligently served as a quality analyst for MultiPlan for more than a decade.
In recent times, she found fulfillment in her roles within the billing department at Aurora BayCare Medical Center and as a bartender at Rockabilly's Saloon. Randi possessed an innate appreciation for the great outdoors, relishing moments engaged in hunting, fishing, camping, and traversing on her motorcycle.
A creative spirit, she found joy in crafting, while also embracing an active lifestyle encompassing workouts, barbecues, smoking culinary delights, and cherished moments shared with her friends. Above all, Randi will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and daughter.
Left to navigate this world without her physical presence are her cherished husband, David; their beloved son, Hunter; her caring parents, Terry and Lynn Challe; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dave and Nadine Van Lanen; her siblings, Michelle (Keith) Jansen, Joshua (Laura) Challe, Jeremy Challe, Rick Breault, Ryan (Cassie) Breault, and Jennifer Sternitzky; a sister-in-law, Tara Kelliher; her step-grandmother, Betty (Lee) Meindl; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding Randi in death were her grandfather, John Phillip Sousa; her grandmothers, Shirley Fournier and Joyce Tachick; and her uncle, Thomas Sousa. As we mourn the loss of Randi L. Van Lanen, let us gather in unity to honor her memory, preserving the essence of her vibrant spirit within our hearts.
