Rav Wilding Illness

Rav Wilding has stated that he was diagnosed with a motor skill condition after years of struggle. The former Crimewatch host stated it was tough for him to participate in a new craft competition programme because of the way his brain functions due to dyspraxia, commonly known as developmental coordination disorder (DCD). Rav told the Press Association, "I've got this thing called dyspraxia, so I have a hand-eye coordination disorder.

"I'm dyslexic, too, but dyspraxia is like dyslexia with your hands." Rav, who recently appeared in ITV's The All New Monty: Who Bares Wins, has struggled with anything intricate as a result. "My brain just doesn't work that way," Rav continued. And the only way I can do anything is if I can see it, visualise it, literally see what I'm supposed to do. "It's just how my mind works. It was a little tricky.

"Dyspraxia impacts movement planning and processing, as well as coordination, as a result of brain impulses not being accurately sent to the body; however, the causes are unknown. Rav Wilding stars in the craft competition programme "Kirstie's Celebrity Craft Masters," on Channel 4, which challenges celebrities with craft-based tasks. He also spoke about his past struggles with tasks that others found easy in school.

What Illness Does Rav Wilding Have?

TV presenter Rav Wilding has revealed his struggle with dyspraxia, a motor-skills disorder, throughout his life until he was formally diagnosed a couple of years ago. He explained that dyspraxia is like dyslexia with your hands and makes it difficult for him to do anything intricate. Wilding said that the only way he can do anything is if he can see it with his eyes and visualise it.

Rav Wilding explained that he found it difficult to participate in a new craft competition programme due to his dyspraxia, which affects his hand-eye coordination and movement planning. He stated that his brain does not work well with intricate tasks, and he needs to visually see what he is supposed to do. Wilding shared that he was formally diagnosed with dyspraxia a couple of years ago, and it made sense of the struggles he had faced.

Although the causes of dyspraxia are not fully understood, the disorder affects the transmission of accurate brain messages to the body, leading to difficulties in coordination and movement planning. Although Wilding struggled during the craft competition programme due to his dyspraxia, he stated that he didn't take the show too seriously, as it was intended to be entertaining for the whole family. He also expressed frustration at the difficulties he had experienced since childhood in performing tasks that others found simple to complete.

Rav Wilding Injury

Rav Wilding, a former Crimewatch broadcaster, is suing the production firm behind ITV's Splash!, claiming that an injury he sustained while training for the diving show ruined his career. Because of the injury in pre-show preparation in 2013, the ex-Strictly Come Dancing competitor had to cancel his wedding and has now listed his property for sale. Wilding had surgery after fracturing his left hamstring tendons while performing a somersault dive during the third round of training for the now-defunct ITV show.

After being discharged from the hospital on Christmas Eve, the ex-soldier and police officer was readmitted on New Year's Day 2014 after suffering from a pulmonary embolism at home. Rav Wilding sustained injuries that prevented him from appearing on the diving show produced by Twofour. The legal firm Irwin Mitchell stated that Wilding has one leg shorter than the other and experiences pain when walking or standing.

He was advised that he would never be able to run or play rugby again and would require a shoe lift to walk properly. Wilding described the injury as an "absolute nightmare" that has completely changed his life and caused him to cancel his wedding with Jill Morgan. Although he has appeared in a few TV shows, he is no longer able to perform physically demanding work.

Rav Wilding Strictly Come Dancing

Rav Wilding participated in the ninth season of the BBC One dance competition show "Strictly Come Dancing" in 2011. Wilding was rated the fourth favourite by bookies, behind former boxer Joe Calzaghe and actor Ricky Whittle.

But he became the third celebrity to be ousted from the programme on October 3, 2009, after failing to be rescued in the dance-off. In 2010, he appeared on the Big Brother spin-off show Big Brother's Little Brother multiple times. Wilding travelled to the front lines of British military operations in Afghanistan in September 2010 to record a series for the BBC called Remembrance Week. He witnessed a bomb blast while filming The Lions of England, which killed one of the serving troops with the squad.
