Resident Evil 4 has been remade and released by Capcom on March 24, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. This survival horror game is a new version of the 2005 game with the same name. Players will control the character Leon S. Kennedy, a US agent who has to rescue Ashley Graham, the daughter of the US president, from the sinister cult called Los Iluminados.
The game is set six years after the events in Resident Evil 2, where the players will face various characters like Ada Wong, Ingrid Hunnigan, Luis Serra, and antagonists such as Bitores Mendez, Ramon Salazar, Jack Krauser, and Osmund Saddler. The story takes place in a Spanish village, controlled by the violent cult.
The first teaser trailer was released in June 2022 as part of PlayStation's State of Play event. The game features support for PS VR2.

During the battle, the player can knock over red liquid nitrogen canisters to freeze Verdugo temporarily, making it vulnerable for a few seconds. The player can then perform an action command to kick the frozen creature. After a short time, Verdugo will break out of the nitrogen casing and return to its normal state. While frozen, Verdugo receives triple damage, and a direct hit from a Rocket Launcher will result in an instant kill. It is recommended to save the Rocket Launcher found in the glass weapon cabinet.
