Richard Lowry, born on August 22, 1968, is an American writer and political commentator. He currently serves as the editor-in-chief of National Review, a conservative magazine for news and opinion. Lowry was appointed by William F. Buckley, Jr., the founder of National Review, to lead the magazine in 1997. Apart from his editorial work, Lowry is also a regular columnist, author, and political analyst, frequently appearing on NBC News and Meet the Press. He has authored four books in his career so far.
