Saw 3 Plot

After the events of Saw II, Detective Eric Matthews is stuck in a rundown bathroom, chained to a pipe by Amanda Young. He manages to free himself by breaking his foot with a toilet tank lid.

Six months later, Lieutenant Daniel Rigg, along with detectives Allison Kerry and Mark Hoffman, discovers a new victim of the Jigsaw Killer at an elementary school. This victim, Troy, is forced to remove chains piercing his body to escape a nail bomb, but he can't escape because the exit door is welded shut. This makes Kerry believe that someone other than John Kramer is responsible for this trap.

Kerry is then kidnapped and placed in a trap. She has to retrieve a key from acid in one minute to deactivate a device connected to her chest. She gets the key in time, but her trap is rigged just like Troy's, leading to her death as her ribcage is torn apart.

Amanda Young abducts a surgeon, Dr. Lynn Denlon, and brings her to an abandoned meatpacking plant where John Kramer is bedridden due to cancer. Lynn is forced to keep John alive until another victim, Jeff, completes a series of tests. A collar around Lynn's neck is linked to John's heart monitor, and it will explode if he dies or she moves out of range.

Jeff wakes up in a crate inside the plant. His tests are related to his obsession with avenging his son's death in a car accident. He finds a woman, Danica, who witnessed his son's death but refused to testify against the drunk driver. Jeff can choose to save her or let her die in a freezing trap. He ultimately tries to save her, but she freezes to death before he can release her.

In another test, Jeff confronts the judge, Halden, who presided over his son's case. The judge is chained to a vat filled with pig intestines. Jeff can save him by burning his son's possessions in an incinerator. Jeff saves Halden by activating the incinerator.

In his final test, Jeff faces the drunk driver, Timothy Young, who is strapped to a device twisting his limbs and head. Jeff tries to save Timothy but is too late, and the contraption kills Timothy.

Meanwhile, Lynn decides to perform brain surgery on John to keep him alive. During the surgery, John hallucinates and confesses his love for another woman, which upsets Amanda. Amanda also reveals that she doesn't believe in John's philosophy and has manipulated past games.

Amanda refuses to release Lynn from her collar and holds her at gunpoint. Amanda shoots Lynn, unaware that Lynn and Jeff are married. Jeff arrives and shoots Amanda, leading to her death. John had set up Lynn's test to keep someone alive, and it was meant for Amanda, as he knew about her manipulated games.

After Amanda's death, Jeff aims his gun at John but has no bullets left. John promises to call an ambulance for Lynn in exchange for one final test. Jeff chooses to kill John, and the room locks behind him. John plays a tape revealing that Jeff failed the test by killing him and that his daughter, Corbett, is abducted, with John being the only one who knows her whereabouts. Jeff has to play another game to save her, and Lynn's collar detonates, killing her. Jeff is left alone in the sick room.

Saw 3 Summary

"Saw 3" is a scary movie in the "Saw" series. It delves into the twisted games created by the Jigsaw Killer, John Kramer. The story revolves around three main parts

Firstly, there's Amanda Young, who survived one of Jigsaw's games. Now, she helps Jigsaw by setting up deadly traps and kidnapping victims. Her methods are more brutal and less focused on the philosophical side of Jigsaw's games.

The main part of the movie is about Jeff, a grieving father who can't let go of the pain from his son's tragic death in a car accident. Amanda kidnaps Jeff and puts him through tough tests to make him confront and eventually forgive those he blames for his son's death.

There's also Dr. Lynn Denlon, a surgeon, who gets trapped by Amanda and taken to Jigsaw's hideout. Her job is to keep Jigsaw alive because he's very sick with cancer, all while Jeff is going through his tests. A collar around Lynn's neck is linked to Jigsaw's heart monitor, so she has to follow the rules.

As the movie goes on, we see Jeff's journey through these tests, where he has to face the people he believes caused his son's death. We also learn about Amanda's troubled history with Jigsaw and how her methods are harsher compared to Jigsaw's more philosophical approach to teaching the value of life.

Towards the end of the film, there are surprising revelations and tough choices for Jeff. He has to decide between seeking revenge or offering forgiveness. "Saw 3" explores themes like morality, justice, and the results of our actions, all in the midst of intense and gruesome traps.

"Saw 3" is known for its graphic horror and psychological impact, making it a significant part of the "Saw" movie series.
