Phase 1:

Interact with the whirlpool above the underwater moon and descend.

Exit the boat and head to the left to enter the Infinite Abyss.

You'll find yourself on a descending platform with two tentacles on each side, each with around 1000HP.

Use Valere's Moonerang to hit both tentacles.

Mix in standard physical attacks to replenish MP.

Charged Sunball and physical attacks deal decent damage.

Take down one tentacle first, then stock up MP.

Finally, use a fully charged physical attack from Zale or Valere to eliminate the other tentacle.
Phase 2:

Similar to Phase 1, two tentacles are present.

They use Slam and Spiked Strike attacks but quicker this time.

Repeat the same strategy as in Phase 1.

Avoid using Combo Attacks or Ultimate attacks in this phase.
Phase 3:

The platform drops, revealing the Dweller of Dread and two curled tentacles.

The Dweller will launch powerful attacks, including "Dread Stare" that separates Valere and Zale.

Use only physical attacks to conserve MP during the separation.

The tentacles pose a problem with attacks like "Chomp" and swallowing characters.

Use heavy-hitting attacks like X-Strike Combo and Valere's Moonerang on the tentacles.

B'st is better suited as a tank or for unlocking locks rather than dealing damage.

Focus on hitting the Dweller with charged attacks and use Ultimate attacks if possible.

Watch out for the "Chomp" attack.

Eventually, the Dweller of Dread will be defeated.
After defeating the Dweller, the moon rises, and you gain the ability to fly around the map. This unlocks Zale and Valere's true potential and access to previously inaccessible areas.
