Sea of Stars is a video game that came out in 2023, and it's all about role-playing. You can play it on various platforms like Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. What's cool is that it shares the same universe as another game called The Messenger, which was released in 2018. In this game, you get to be two heroes named Valere and Zale. These heroes have special powers linked to the sun and the moon, and they're on a mission to take down an alchemist who's up to no good.
When you play Sea of Stars, you'll find yourself solving puzzles and getting into turn-based battles. And you're not alone in this adventure because you can control up to six different characters. That means you can team up with others to tackle the challenges that come your way. And here's the best part: the game got a thumbs-up from the critics, which means it's pretty good!
The folks who made this game are from Sabotage Studio, and they did a great job. The director, Thierry Boulanger, had a hand in designing it, along with Phillipe Dionne. Sylvain Cloutier worked on the programming, and the art was done by Michael Lavoie and Bryce Kho. When it comes to the story, Thierry Boulanger also had a role in that. And last but not least, Eric W. Brown composed the music for this awesome adventure.

Sea of Stars Moorlands Device
After you've successfully beaten the game and saved your progress, you'll receive a message that says "A mysterious device has appeared in the Moorlands." To find this device, the easiest way is to use the bottom left entrance on the world map. Once you're there, head north and go through the cave, then head west.
You'll come across the "mysterious device," which is surrounded by seven pillars. These pillars are related to specific tasks you need to complete, and when you do, they'll light up. Here's what you need to do to light up all the pillars:
1. Finish all the arena fights in Brisk.
2. Defeat the Gun Goddess at the Throne of the Queen That Was. To reach her, go north-east, south-east, north-east, and east in the Cerulean Expanse.
3. Complete all the Sunken Ruins and defeat the Sea Slug. On the world map, you can activate a button to reveal several light pillars. These allow you to activate the light buttons under the water, leading to various ruins.
4. Finish all the Solstice Shrines and defeat the boss behind the portal in the Mountain Trail (located below the Elder Mist Trials).
5. Find all 60 Rainbow Conch shells and give them to the trader at Lake Docarria.
6. Free Duke Aventry. You can start this "sidequest" by entering Romaya’s Secret Passage on the world map.
Once you've accomplished all of these tasks, you can interact with the device to unlock the path to the final boss. Without giving away any spoilers, remember to speak with your companions after the cutscenes occur, as they will guide you to where you need to go before heading back to the final dungeon to reveal the true ending.
Keep in mind that once you've met the requirements for the true ending, you won't be able to get the regular ending again on that save file.
Sea of Stars Plot
In the game Sea of Stars, there are two special heroes named Valere and Zale. They have a unique kind of magic called Eclipse Magic, which is the only thing that can harm creepy creatures called Dwellers made by a powerful alchemist called the Fleshmancer.
Valere and Zale, along with their friend Garl and a skilled assassin named Seraï, team up with other heroes to fight the Dweller of Strife after a surprising betrayal. To reach this enemy, they need to complete a challenging quest guided by an alchemist named Resh'an, who used to be friends with the Fleshmancer.
Along the way, they discover a bigger conflict between these two alchemists across different universes. They also gain the power to become super-strong guardian gods. The story can take different paths, and players can even change the ending with some clever tricks involving time travel. It's all about saving the world from chaos!
