Ji Seok is aware that Cho Won has feelings for Do Yun, but his ego prevents him from accepting it. Instead, he falsely claims that Do Yun is the one pursuing Cho Won, and Cho Won, being naive, doesn't object. This annoys Cho Won, who decides to leave the gathering. Interestingly, Ji Seok is the only one behaving this way, while everyone else maintains proper manners.
However, nobody really defends Do Yun when Ji Seok unnecessarily bothers him. This ongoing struggle is what Do Yun referred to, causing him to keep his distance from Cho Won, despite it hurting him emotionally and affecting his senses.
Meanwhile, with Hanna's assistance, Seo Ha achieves some success regarding a hotel matter. Unbeknownst to him, Hanna anonymously provides him with a box containing his mother's notes and some old hotel documents. These items are crucial evidence that proves Ms. Jang Yeon Ok's theft from the hotel and her lack of genuine concern for its well-being.
Consequently, the board of directors dismisses her, and she is forced to leave the hotel under the watchful eye of the police. As Seo Ha emerges victorious from the situation, he has one final encounter with Hanna, who keeps her identity hidden. She presents him with a crocheted turtle as a gift, evoking memories of Seo Ha's mother mentioning that he may have been a turtle in a past life.
