Skullgirls Game Info

Skullgirls is a fighting game that was created by Reverge Labs and published by Autumn Games. It involves players battling with teams of characters, with the aim of defeating their opponents or having the most health when the time runs out. The game is set around the "Skull Heart," an artifact that grants wishes to women, but if someone with an impure soul uses it, they turn into a monster known as the "Skullgirl." The game initially faced setbacks with post-release content development due to legal issues, financial support problems, and publisher disputes. However, it eventually received positive reviews for its animation and gameplay mechanics. There have been various releases for different platforms, including Skullgirls Encore and Skullgirls 2nd Encore, as well as a spin-off mobile game developed by Hidden Variable Studios. In 2020, after allegations of sexual harassment were raised against the lead designer and programmer, Autumn Games and Hidden Variable Studios ended their collaboration with the original development team and started working with Future Club instead.
