About Slothrust

Slothrust is an American alternative rock band formed in 2010 in Boston, Massachusetts. The duo consists of Leah Wellbaum (vocals, guitar) and Will Gorin (drums), who began collaborating while studying at Sarah Lawrence College. The band's name combines "Slothbox," Wellbaum's former project, and "rust," symbolizing the passage of time. They gained attention with their debut album, "Feels Your Pain," featuring the lead single "7:30 AM."

Slothrust continued to evolve with albums like "Of Course You Do" and "Everyone Else," exploring themes of love and existential anxiety. In 2018, they released "The Pact" and dealt with a lineup change in 2021. Despite challenges, they released "Parallel Timeline" in 2021 and, in 2023, marked their ten-year journey with the EP "I Promise" and a tour celebrating their 2014 album.
