In the second episode of Snowfall season 6, the story continues with Cissy trying to reconcile her son and brother while also trying to take down Teddy, but her plan to work with a new KGB partner named Rubén hits a snag when Rubén is recognized by another major player in the drug world. Meanwhile, viewers learn the secret to Parissa's escape from Rubén in the previous season finale.
Parissa suffers an injury upon landing and is arrested the next morning, but Teddy comes to her rescue. A facial composite of Rubén is created from Parissa's description, and Franklin and Cissy later run into Rubén at a museum.
During the museum tour, Franklin reveals that he and Teddy are no longer on good terms and that the CIA contractor is now communicating only with Louie and Jerome, which piques Rubén's interest. They assure out-of-town salesmen that they will have merchandise to provide them when they meet, even though they don't yet have the narcotics. Skully advises them to make amends with Kane and Franklin before "karma" destroys their lives, and he hands each of them a paper crane as a symbol of protection.
