Staind, pronounced as /steɪnd/ STAYND, is an American rock band that originated from Springfield, Massachusetts in 1995. The band's original lineup consisted of Aaron Lewis as the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, Mike Mushok as the lead guitarist, Johnny April as the bassist and backing vocalist, and Jon Wysocki as the drummer. While the lineup has remained stable for the most part, Wysocki departed the band in 2011 and was replaced by Sal Giancarelli.
Throughout their career, Staind has released seven studio albums, namely "Tormented" (1996), "Dysfunction" (1999), "Break the Cycle" (2001), "14 Shades of Grey" (2003), "Chapter V" (2005), "The Illusion of Progress" (2008), and their self-titled album "Staind" (2011). The band achieved significant success in the early 2000s, with "Break the Cycle" attaining five times platinum certification in the United States.
