Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - How to Defeat The Golden Skriton?

  1. When the Golden Skriton's Golden Skriton begins to glow red and extends its claw forward, Cal should quickly dodge to avoid being grabbed. Failure to dodge will result in the Golden Skriton stabbing Cal with its tail twice, causing significant damage.

  2. The Golden Skriton has an unblockable attack where it glows red and slams its claw into the ground. Dodging away from this attack is an effective way to evade it. However, skilled players can take advantage of the opening created by this attack and leap behind the creature to attack its vulnerable back.

  3. While most of the Golden Skriton's attacks are telegraphed and predictable, its swipe attack is swift and less obvious. To successfully parry this attack, players must precisely time their block when the creature moves its claw to the left.

  4. The Golden Skriton occasionally employs its tail as a weapon. When the creature starts waving its tail overhead, players should immediately guard themselves. However, caution is advised when counterattacking after this move, as the Golden Skriton may execute a second tail attack once it regains its composure. If a second attack occurs, players should block again to avoid taking damage.

  5. With experience and familiarity with the Golden Skriton's fighting patterns, players will be able to defeat it with relative ease. After defeating the creature, Cal can enter the cave it emerged from and interact with the Force Essence on the ground to obtain the Unflinching Perk.

Star Wars Jedi Plot

Five years have passed since Jedi Knight Cal Kestis destroyed the Jedi holocron. He has separated from his former companions Cere Junda, Greez Dritus, and Merrin and joined the resistance under Saw Gerrera. Cal's latest mission involves teaming up with the mercenary Bode Akuna to infiltrate Coruscant, the Imperial capital, and steal crucial military data from Senator Daho Sejan.

However, the Ninth Sister, who survived her previous encounter with Cal on Kashyyyk, arrives and kills Sejan while Cal retrieves the data and defeats the Ninth Sister. Unfortunately, the rest of the team is killed, leaving Cal and Bode as the sole survivors. Cal also learns from the data that the Empire has grown even more powerful despite his efforts, which disheartens him.

With their ship, the Stinger Mantis, damaged from their escape, Cal decides to find Greez on the remote planet of Koboh. They discover the planet oppressed by a criminal organization called the Bedlam Raiders, led by an armored Gen'dai named Rayvis. After Cal fends off the Bedlam Raiders, Greez guides him to a cave where he can find the parts needed to repair the Stinger Mantis.

While exploring, Cal encounters a Jedi Order droid named ZN-A4, also known as "Zee," from the High Republic era. Zee provides Cal with a High Republic tuner device and reveals she was tasked with activating the Forest Array centuries ago but got trapped in the caves.

Following Zee's guidance, Cal activates the Forest Array and has Force visions of two High Republic Jedi, Dagan Gera and Santari Khri, who discovered the hidden planet of Tanalorr beyond the supposedly impenetrable Koboh Abyss nebula. Cal frees Dagan from a bacta tank but discovers that Dagan has succumbed to the dark side and fights him. Dagan escapes with the help of Rayvis and the Bedlam Raiders.

Recognizing the value of a planet beyond the Empire's reach, Cal, Bode, and Greez repair the Stinger Mantis and head to Jedha, where Cere, Merrin, and Eno Cordova have been working with the Hidden Path resistance organization to rebuild the Jedi Archives. Cere and Cordova research Koboh and Tanalorr in the Archives.

Cal and Bode investigate Dagan's facilities and learn about his achievements in navigating the Koboh Abyss and discovering Tanalorr. The Republic established a settlement and Jedi Temple on Tanalorr, but the Nihil attacked, leading to the Republic's withdrawal and the destruction of the navigational compasses.

Cal, Merrin, Bode, and Greez return to Koboh to search for the remaining compasses, recovering one after defeating Rayvis but damaging it while fighting Dagan. Cal decides to utilize Tanalorr as a fortress for the Hidden Path's Jedi Order revival, but Bode intends to use it as a secret sanctuary for his daughter, Kata. Cal and Merrin develop a romantic relationship, finally leaving behind Cal's Jedi Order ties.

Returning to Jedha, Cordova repairs the compass, but Bode reveals himself as an Imperial spy, killing Cordova and stealing the compass. Cal pursues Bode, discovering his dark side affiliation and former Jedi status. Despite Cal's attempts to stop him, Bode easily defeats him, leaving Cal unconscious. Simultaneously, the Empire launches a massive attack on the Archives, resulting in Cere's sacrifice while fighting Darth Vader. Enraged by Bode's betrayal, Cal tracks him down to the Nova Garon system. They infiltrate an Imperial Security Bureau base commanded by Lank Denvik to confront Bode.

Star Wars Jedi Gameplay

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor introduces several new gameplay mechanics while retaining familiar elements from its predecessor. In terms of lightsaber combat, Cal Kestis now has access to five distinct stances, each with its own unique characteristics. The single-blade and double-blade stances from Fallen Order return, along with an expanded version of the dual-wield single-blade attack, which now functions as a fully playable lightsaber stance.

Initially, the dual-wield stance was intended to be a playable stance in the previous game but was limited to a special attack due to time constraints. Additionally, a new stance has been introduced, emulating the Kylo Ren-style crossguard lightsaber. This stance requires players to pay attention to timing windows in order to utilize it effectively, particularly for blocking and parrying enemy attacks.

Another new stance, the blaster stance, enables players to combine a lightsaber with a blaster for both close-range and ranged combat. These various stances are strategically designed to counter specific enemy types, requiring players to determine the most effective weapon of choice. Furthermore, a new Force stasis ability resembling Kylo Ren's power in The Force Awakens allows players to freeze enemies and blaster bolts in mid-air.
