Starfield Entangled Get to the Lab
The "Entangled" quest in Starfield takes you on a thrilling journey to another star system in search of artifacts. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to get to the lab during this quest:
Enter the Research Station: Approach the Nishina Research Station. You'll need to undertake this quest alone; your companions will stay behind.
Speak to Rafael: Inside the station, you'll meet a man named Ethan, who is suspicious of you. After some conversation, he lets you in to see the director. On your way, you'll experience strange phase shifts.
Speak to the Director: Finally, you'll reach Director Patel's office. Explain the situation to her and the lab tech Maria. They inform you about an experiment gone wrong and the artifact's involvement.
Follow Maria to the Lab: Leave the director's office with Maria. You'll experience more phase shifts. Eventually, you'll reach an area with a collapsed ceiling where Rafael is waiting. He provides you with a key card and support against the Cataxi creatures.
Speak to Ethan: In the ruined cafeteria, you'll phase back into the first reality and encounter Ethan again. Try to persuade him to give you a weapon for fighting the Cataxi. You may receive the Experiment A-7 Shotgun with bonus damage to aliens.
Go back to Director Patel and Get Supplies: Head left from Maria's lab and talk to Director Patel. She'll give you grim news and ask you to choose which reality to save. It's recommended to stock up on supplies from Dr. Barakova.
Through the Basement to the Lab: Use a distortion near the elevator to switch between the damaged reality (fighting Cataxi) and the regular reality (fighting robots and turrets). Save often and heal up when needed.
Override the Lockdown in the Facilities Section: Find a Particle Lab Keycard in the damaged reality, use it to unlock security doors, and override the security system using a computer.
Override the Lockdown in the Accelerator Section: Continue switching between realities, battling enemies, and using keycards and computers to deactivate security systems.
Override the Lockdown in the Storage Section: Open the door to the large room and navigate through phases to reach a computer. Override the lockdown and face more turrets.
Choose Your Reality: Decide whether to save Rafael's reality (gaining Rafael as a companion) or the regular reality (saving Director Patel and the lab). Kill all enemies in the large experiment room.
Speak to Rafael or Director Patel: Depending on your chosen reality, speak to the surviving NPC to receive your reward – either a spacesuit with excellent stats or Rafael as your engineer.
