Starfield Missed Beyond Measure Mission Walkthrough

1. Return to The Lodge: After receiving the mission, your first task is to return to The Lodge on the planet Jemison. Here, you'll meet Noel, a member of the Constellation, who wants to organize a memorial service for a fellow Constellation member who has tragically passed away in a previous mission, "High Price To Pay." Talking to Noel is the initial step in starting this emotional mission.

2. Wait for the Service: Once you've spoken with Noel, you'll need to wait for a few in-game days for the memorial service to take place. During this time, The Lodge will undergo repairs to prepare for the event. You can rest in your room and select the option to wait until the memorial service commences.

3. Attend the Memorial Service: When the time comes, make your way downstairs within The Lodge. Here, you will find the members of the Constellation gathered around the meeting table in the main room. Sarah, another Constellation member, will deliver a heartfelt eulogy for the fallen comrade. The atmosphere will be somber, with your fellow Constellation members expressing their grief and sadness.

4. Say a Few Words: This step is entirely optional but allows you to participate more actively in the service. If you choose to do so, approach the podium and select from various dialogue options to share your thoughts and emotions regarding the departed friend.

5. Speak to Everyone: After expressing your own words or even if you choose not to, you'll have the opportunity to engage with the other members of the Constellation. Being kind and supportive during these interactions can help strengthen your relationships with your companions.

6. Wait 24 Hours and Skip the Service: If you find it too emotional or prefer not to attend the memorial service, you have the choice to skip it entirely. You can achieve this by either leaving The Lodge and allowing time to pass naturally or by heading to your room, where you can sleep for 24 hours, fast-forwarding to a time when the service is over.

7. Leave When You're Ready: When you've accomplished your selected actions and feel prepared to move on, you can exit The Lodge. This marks the completion of the "Missed Beyond Measure" mission in Starfield.

  • Expansive Space Exploration: Starfield offers an open world set in space where you can freely navigate. You have the choice to view this vast universe from both a first-person and third-person perspective.

  • Milky Way Adventure: The game takes you on a journey through a part of the Milky Way galaxy, which includes a mix of real and imaginative planets. You can touch down on more than 1,000 planets, as well as moons and space stations.

  • Dynamic Environments: Most of the game's locations are procedurally generated, shaped by the star's properties and atmospheric conditions. Some places, though, are carefully crafted by game designers. Notably, New Atlantis stands as the largest fictional city crafted by Bethesda.

  • Meet a Cast of Characters: As you traverse the cosmos, you'll encounter various characters. Some of these individuals can join your group and aid you in combat, carry items, negotiate with others on your behalf, and even form special bonds with your character.

You can construct outposts where you can research and craft in various categories, including Medicine, Food & Drink, Building, Gear, and Weapons.

  • Diverse Views and Spaceships: The game allows you to construct, purchase, or commandeer spaceships. You can customize your ship's components, facilities, paint, decorations, and weapons. Different ships have varying sizes and speeds, providing a range of options for your interstellar adventures.

  • Ship Combat and Boarding: Engage in ship combat using equipped weapons and manage power allocation systems. You can board other ships, whether they belong to hostile or peaceful NPCs, to plunder, commandeer, trade, or fight.

Starfield Plot

In Starfield's story, it's been 20 years since the Colony War, and there's an uneasy peace between the United Colonies and Freestar Collective. You play as a space miner for Argos Extractors, hired by the mysterious Constellation group to find an unusual Artifact with strange powers buried underground. After extracting it, you have a vision that sends you through time and space.

When you wake up, your client is coming to collect the Artifact. You defend the mining operation from an attack by the Crimson Fleet and then head to New Atlantis, the capital of the United Colonies, to deliver the Artifact to the Constellation Lodge. From there, you join Constellation in their quest to find more Artifacts, which are a big mystery.

As you go on your journey, you can join different groups like the UC Vanguard and the Freestar Rangers. Later, you find more Artifacts and discover an ancient temple with special powers. You help Constellation collect more Artifacts but face a powerful being called the Starborn, who wants the Artifacts. Constellation escapes with the Artifacts, and you learn that the Starborn are from a parallel universe.

The Starborn reveals that whoever collects all the Artifacts in a universe can reach "Unity," which is like a gateway to other parallel universes. Constellation wants to beat the Starborn to it. You travel to Earth and learn how the Artifacts are connected to the destruction of Earth's magnetosphere. Then, you must choose to help the Hunter, the Emissary, or neither.

Regardless of your choice, you collect the remaining Artifacts and confront the Starborn. After winning, you reach the Unity and meet a version of yourself from another universe. They explain that you'll become Starborn but leave your old life behind, allowing you to restart your journey in a new parallel universe.
