Starfield

Starfield is a new video game made by Bethesda Game Studios. It was first talked about in 2018. The game happens in space and is the first new idea from Bethesda in a very long time. It came out on September 6, 2023, for Windows computers and Xbox Series X/S. Critics who review games mostly liked Starfield.

Prior to the official launch of the game on September 6, PureDark, a modder, released a free mod to incorporate DLSS 2 into Starfield. PureDark also introduced another mod, DLSS 3 with frame generation, but this one wasn't free, and it came with DRM protection, which caused some controversy in the gaming community. Shortly after its release, the DRM for the DLSS 3 mod was successfully bypassed.

Neon is a place in the Volii system. To find it on your star map, go right from Alpha Centauri. You'll pass Olympus and reach Volii. Neon itself is on Volii Alpha, which is the second ring around the planet. There's also a nearby gas giant you can quickly scan if you want.

You don't need a special ship to reach Volii Alpha; your Frontier ship will do. Starfield suggests being at least level 5 before attempting Neon's more challenging quests. So, that's how you can get to Neon in Starfield.

Neon may seem smaller than New Atlantis, but it's packed with activities and places to explore. Neon is divided into three areas and a spaceport:

The Core: 

  • This is the central area of the city, home to Ryujin Industries where you can start one of Starfield's major faction quests. You'll also find various shops with their own quests. Speak to Neshar inside the security center to learn more about his quest. Additionally, you can chat with Sophie, the security agent, if you're traveling with Sam or Sarah, to improve your relationship with them.

Ebbside: 

  • This is the shadier part of Neon, where rival gangs fight for control. You'll come here for quests like Neshar's and the one from the Emporium. If you want to get involved in Neon's gang warfare, visit Madam Sauvage's.

Underside: 

  • Half of this area is restricted until you have specific quests that take you there. There isn't much to do in this area until those quests become available. However, if you go left past the Trawl shack, you can pick up a quest from Katherine, who suspects her husband was murdered.

Spaceport:

  • You can start your Neon adventure by picking up a quest even before entering the city. Neshar, a drug smuggler, has a quest related to delivering a package. You can also interact with various NPCs and gather quests by exploring the crowded streets.

In the Core, you can visit Sieghart’s Outfitters and The Emporium for shop-related quests. Renting a room at Hotel Volii multiple times can earn you a quest and provide a convenient bed. The Astral Lounge and Trade Tower are places to check out, especially if you're interested in the drug Aurora.

Ebbside is a rougher part of Neon, known for gang conflicts. Several quests will take you here, including the one from the Emporium. Madam Sauvage's is a notable location in this area. The Underside becomes accessible for specific quests. Before that, there's not much to do there. Head left past the Trawl shack to find a quest from Katherine.Neon is a vibrant and diverse city with plenty of quests and activities to keep you engaged in your Starfield adventure.
