Starfield Search And Seizure Quest Guide

Speak with Port Workers:

Go to the Spaceport in New Atlantis.
Talk to the port workers there.
Keep talking until you find a worker who knows about a potential smuggler's ship.
This quest becomes available after you finish the "Eyewitness" quest and other UC Vanguard quests before it.

Obtain the Ship Records from Aegis (Agent Plato):

After speaking to the worker, go to Aegis (Agent Plato).
You'll find him inside MAST, on the Defense Research floor.
Ask him for the Ship Records.

Read the Slate and Identify the Smuggler's Ship:

Look for a slate from Agent Plato in your inventory.
Read it to identify the smuggler's ship that's carrying "Potatoes."

Report to Sergeant Yumi:

Go to Sergeant Yumi and tell him about the smuggler's ship.
When he asks for the ship's name, select "Anansi" from the options.

Obtain the Contraband:

Head to the smuggler's ship.
Search the ship's inventory for the contraband.
The ship's captain, Malawi, may try to bribe you.
You can choose to accept the bribe for extra Credits or report her to Sergeant Yumi.
If you don't accept the bribe, you can loot the Anansi after dealing with Malawi.
Remember, the Anansi will only be available during this quest.

Bargain With the Captain for 2500 Credits:

Malawi may offer you credits to keep quiet about the contraband.
You can accept this offer for an extra 2500 Credits.
If you have enough points in the Negotiation Skill, you can double this to 5000 Credits.

Report to Sergeant Yumi Again:

Return to Sergeant Yumi and explain what happened on the ship.
Your dialogue options will change based on whether you accepted the bribe or not.

Rewards:

Note that completing this quest won't give you any additional items, regardless of whether you report Malawi or take the bribe.

How to Unlock Starfield Search and Seizure?

Complete Prior Quests: First, you need to finish the quest called "Eyewitness" and any other quests given by the UC Vanguard that come before it. These are prerequisites for the "Starfield Search And Seizure" quest.
Go to New Atlantis Spaceport: Travel to the Spaceport located in New Atlantis.
Speak with Port Workers: Once you're at the Spaceport, talk to the port workers there. Keep talking to them until you meet a worker who is monitoring a suspicious ship. This is where the new quest starts.
Obtain Ship Records: After talking to the worker, go to Aegis (Agent Plato), who can be found inside MAST on the Defense Research floor. Try to get the Ship Records from him.
Read the Slate: Read a slate you receive from Agent Plato. This slate contains information about the smuggler's ship, specifically that it's carrying "Potatoes." You can find it easily in your inventory under the "New Items" tab.
Report to Sergeant Yumi: Speak to Sergeant Yumi and tell him what you found on the slate. You'll need to provide the ship's name, which is "Anansi," to continue the quest.
Obtain the Contraband: Head over to the smuggler's ship, the Anansi, and retrieve the contraband from the ship's inventory. You'll encounter the ship's captain, Malawi, who may offer you a bribe. You can accept it for extra Credits or report her to Sergeant Yumi.
Bargain with the Captain (Optional): If you don't accept Malawi's bribe initially, you can choose to bargain with her for 2500 Credits. With high Negotiation Skill points, you can double this amount to 5000 Credits.
Report Back to Sergeant Yumi: Finally, return to Sergeant Yumi and inform him about what happened on the ship. The dialogue options will change depending on whether you accepted the bribe or not.
