• Find Scrap Vein: Locate a Scrap Vein underground to get Scrap, a crucial material.
• Unlock Prospectors: Build Prospector Quarters to unlock Prospectors for resource transportation.
• Unlock Mechanics: Build Mechanic Quarters to get Mechanics who can install extractors.
• Build Workshop: Construct a Workshop; it allows you to build extractors.
• Place Extractor: Install an extractor on the Scrap Vein using the Workshop to get Scrap.
• Build Toolmaker: Construct a Toolmaker building to turn Scrap into Tools.
• Get Engineers: Upgrade your Worker Residentials to Engineer Residentials to have at least 15 free Engineers.
• Start Production: With everything in place, the Toolmaker will now produce Tools for your city.

• Increase Tool Balance: First, work on boosting your tool balance.
• Use the Train Station: Utilize the Train Station to trade for scrap, a crucial resource.
• Purchase Production Speed Item: If you have enough scrap in your warehouses, buy the Production Speed item at the Train Station. Apply this modification to your Toolmaker in the city. It makes the Toolmaker produce tools faster.
• Consider Production Chance Item: There's also a Production Chance item available. It allows the Toolmaker to occasionally produce extra items, further increasing overall production speed.
• Passive Tool Acquisition: You can passively get tools by creating trades at the Train Station. Set up trades where you exchange resources or money for tools. When the train arrives, it delivers the tools and takes the items you offered. You can have up to five ongoing trades, and they repeat whenever the train returns. You have the flexibility to cancel or modify these trades at any time.
