The Floor is Lava is a famous game mode in Fortnite. This allows you to play as if you avoid touching the ground. Because you can build Fortnite, it makes the game harder. Just like any other map you create, you earn XP by playing this mode.
The goal of the game is to survive on the island as long as possible, avoiding the rising lava and other players. The lava begins to rise after 5 minutes and gradually covers the island. You have limited time to collect resources and materials, so don't waste time at first.
Touching lava will hurt you, but you can rely on it to survive longer. You also get more materials over time, and building is key to escaping the lava and staying alive. Move faster with items such as Wings of Icarus and Chains Of Hades, or force your enemies into the lava by dragging them.
Steps to Play
To play the Floor is Lava mode in Fortnite, follow these simple steps
1. Go to the "Play" section in Fortnite.
2. Look for the "By Epic" category and scroll down.
3. You'll find the Floor is Lava mode there.
4. Click on it and choose "Select."
5. You'll return to the lobby where you can decide to play alone, with friends, or with random players. Turn on "Fill" if you want to play with random teammates.
Rules to Win
The main goal in The Floor Is Lava is to stay high up to avoid the rising lava. The lava starts moving up when the second Storm Circle closes. At first, most of the island is safe, but you'll see the gold color creeping in on your map. To help you stay high, there are special items like Crash Pad Jrs. and Balloons added to the loot pool just for this mode.
The lava starts rising after 5 minutes into the game. This means players have a short time to collect items and resources. The lava keeps moving steadily until the whole island is covered. If you touch the lava, you'll lose 20 health points.
The Wings of Icarus item is also in this mode, and it's really helpful for avoiding the lava. All the guns you find will be of the highest quality, and they come with extra features. Choose your weapon wisely because once the lava starts rising, you can't go looking for better gear. Eliminations happen fast in this game because falling into the lava means certain death, especially in the later stages.
The Reboot Vans also disappear quickly under the lava, so you can't revive your teammates. Since the special items have limited uses, your best bet is to build high up to stay safe. You can build on the lava, which helps, but falling into it later on will end your life.
